Hello my wonderful rp-ers!! (I'm never using that word again!). As mentioned in the chat, my GR page has been stuffing up so I apologise if I don't contact you for a while. Amanda will try tell me if anything appears but we are both busy women so don't hold it against us.
Also! We had an idea which would spice up the Cursed lives a bit (we're horrible, I'm sorry). Currently, it is the beginning of winter in Aiden and we decided that, because it is boring and cold in winter etc, the guards would want some entertainment. Every winter they have the Games, a fighting competition. Non-dangerous Cursed are told that if they fight in the Games then they will go free. It is always a gamble but some find freedom to enticing to pass up no matter the risk and so they fight. If the guards don't have enough people, they force some to fight. They have multiple bloody battles to the death with the current dangerous champions. If they beat these champions, they go free but that has, so far, never happened. Considering the only dangerous Cursed at the time we created this were Amanda's twins Aelin and Rowan, Levi, and my character Prince Aelic (who only just arrived), we decided the current champions would be the twins and Levi. There are rules to the game which I will post in a bit, but if you like the idea and want your character to participate, message me in chat. Even if you guys don't want to do it, Amanda and I are still going to cause it is an integral part of the plot for our characters interacting (we will just be like, your charries were watching on the side-lines).

Another thing! I will be posting a thread that shows what animals have already been taken, just so you know (the gods and goddesses only have 1 chosen at a time).

And! Lots to say today! Amanda and I kinda have a whole general plot for where this stuff is going. Cause my charrie is a Prince, eventually we will have this big coup be ta and all the Cursed will be free and Aelic shall rule. This will happen eventually but not for a while. I thought it prudent to let you guys know before hand before springing it on you. You can still rp and everything, but at the end we will all be together in a massive rp and we all battle and it will be sweet!

Now! I think I have said enough for today. If I have anything more to tell you guys/if I have any more crazy ideas, I will let you know here. Bon voiage! :)

Hey everyone! I love that you are all creating charries, this is so exciting! I have a few things so say though (reiterating here for everyone to see). First of all, can we not chat in the characters thread? Cause it creates confusion for everyone else etc. If you need to ask other people things, there is a chat thread. I will be deleting these posts to clear the clutter in a few days so make sure you know what was discussed. The second thing was, you CAN NOT reserve animals. Its first come first served. If you want an animal, create a charrie or SPECIFICALLY come ask me. I may let you reserve it if you have a good reason, but I may not. Third thing, a lot of you seem to be confused with the history section of your charries. I probably didn't make myself clear and I'm sorry about that. Most Cursed are sent to the Palace of the Cursed as BABIES because having a Cursed child is the height of shame. VERY FEW parents keep a Cursed child and very few Cursed children manage to live on their own out there. Amanda's charries are exceptional fighters and they only managed a few horrible years by themselves outside before being captured. Most are taken by the Snatchers within a few weeks. The only reason a parent may not send away their Cursed child was if they themselves were Cursed and just didn't have noticeable physical differences and they managed to escape capture or if they knew a Cursed and so had a different opinion or if they didn't know their kid was Cursed etc. Most of the Cursed at the Palace, from the babies right up to the adults, have been there their entire lives. Some are even second generation Cursed. Fourth and last thing, you NEED to write in your description if your charries has any abilities or physical things thanks to their god/goddess. For example, my charrie Aelic has snake fanges, has a lower body temp and can sense heat signatures. You need to say stuff like that too, other wise we wont know a) what they can do, b) what they look like and c) which wing to put them in.

Hey guys! Dionne asked a good question and you guys may be wondering the same thing, so I am posting my response to her here so you all know.

'The gods/goddess chose a soul to be Blessed and that soul will be born with some of the characteristics of their guardian spirit. They were originally meant to help humanity so sometimes the spirits chose a characteristic to help the person in the future, sometimes its just a random thing. The characteristics are both a sign and an impact/consequence of being chosen. There is like, a set of characteristics that a Cursed could have (e.g. for a cheetah, it could be speed, tail, ears, good hearing, eyesight, fangs, claws, long legs, slim body, fur, behavioural etc), but not all of it can be on one person. When a god or goddess choses a soul in the womb, they develop only SOME of these characteristics, not them all (cause that would be weird). Sometimes the spirit can see that this soul will really need...protection or something, in the future so it gives the person claws. The rest of the characteristics are random. The most prominent characteristics are often chosen again and again, but not always. Basically, even though your charrie is a cheetah, she may not have claws because she has other characteristics. Does that make sense?'

Hey everyone! Wow, I have posted so much you guys must be getting annoyed with me. Sorry! I need to though so you understand stuff so please forgive me! Just wanted to let you all know (cause I forgot to say) that in the Palace of the Cursed, the guards are well versed in hand to hand combat, have whips and swords and other weaponry, have multiple drugs and serums to use and outnumber the Cursed like, 10 to 1 sort of thing. They also have muzzels to keep people from biting, venom suppressant serum, and gloves to keep claws sheathed etc. Just letting you know that if your charrie fights, that what they are up against and that if your charries has claws, they will be wearing gloves.

Hey everyone! Selenthe asked me a good question and I thought it best to let everyone know to avoid further confusion. Keras is more medieval/historical in nature (swords and stuff), however I have allowed for some modern things to be included. We can just say that the people of Keras discovered and created these things faster than we did e.g. Jeans etc. Major advances however, like electricity and subsequently, TV's, have not been created yet. Just keep that in mind when you are rp-ing. :)
Oh! And lots of people have charrie's with claws and I forget to tell some of you. If your charrie has claws, they must wear these special gloves that keep their claws sheathed at all times. The guards must make sure they can't fight back after all. Just to let you all know! :D

The gloves are also plain leather with hard hidden metal tips and are shackled to your wrist so you can't take them off and if you have claws on you feet like Aelin and Rowan you will wear 'shoes' for lack of a better word that are similar in apperence.

Hi guys we are doing an Event in the palace called the Games. They are kinda like the hunger games only you choose to join in. These games are brutal and your characters will get injured in them but that is what Susan is for. (NPC healer) if you want to have a match in the games you will have to list your charrie, the NPC your are fighting, the animal they are and if they win or lose. You can fight other characters but you need to sort it out with the other controller first because it's mean to control other people's characters. You can not fight, Aelin, Rowan, Aelic or Levi unless you want to die because three of these characters are trained to kill and don't lose. Right the rules yay..... Not really but yay.

1. All fighting characters must be above 13 years of age.
2. Your character must have been at the palace for over a year.
3. No weapons unless you are fighting a dangerous cursed because they have their own weapons. (Fangs, claws, venom.)
4. No killing each other unless you are with a triggered dangerous cursed. (Their inner animal is in control not their human side)
5. Family sticks together. Brothers and sisters can't fight but best friends can.
6. You are on your own. The guards will not help. There is no tag teaming so you can't go I'm tired your turn but you can fight in teams.

Hey my little Cursed! Just letting you all that I have just created a new character called Zibiah. I created her specifically to rp with those of you who don't have anyone to rp with. So come! Come and rp with me! Though I will warn you. I will allow anyone and everyone to rp with Zibiah so be prepared.

Hello my little Cursed!!! I know it's late but I just wanted to say I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. :)

Hello my lovely little Cursed! Hope you all had a great start to the new year! Just wanted to let you know of a few things that Amanda and I have been chatting about (we are constantly talking about this group and have new ideas all the time! Its so hard to keep up!).
I wanted to let you guys know about a few NPC's that we have. If you go onto the Characters in use section you will find a few Cursed NPC's. You can use any of them at any time, just give me a quick message first to make sure they are not already being used. The same goes with the humans NPC's we have. Petra and Erwin are two human guards (a couple), who are friends with Amanda's twins. They are different from the other guards because the actually see Cursed as people and aren't mean to them and don't treat them like animals. Susan is the other NPC, she is a healer. Susan had a Cursed daughter, Petra a sister and niece and Erwin a mother. All of them were taken from their Cursed family and told to hate the Cursed. None of them complied. Currently, they are all friends with each other and with Aelic, Aelin, Rowan and Levi.
I also wanted to explain what it means to 'trigger' a dangerous Cursed. This was something that we came up with during the Games (which have now ended for this year btw), but applies to all dangerous Cursed. All Cursed are looked after by Gods (blah blah blah, you know the drill). They can all feel their gods presence to some extent. Dangerous Cursed more so than non-dangerous. However, if they gods think that their child is in immediate life threatening danger they can take control of the child. It happens more with dangerous cursed because of the situations they find themselves in but can happen to anyone. If someone purposely makes the gods think their child is in danger then that is called 'triggering'. When the god takes over they usually don't think, all they want to do is save their child, which can lead to some nasty fights. Because of this, triggering usually only happens at the Games. But I thought it prudent to let you know that if in danger, the god may take control to save them.

Also guys as Heather said we have been talking like non stop I should be doing my Tafe work or asleep but meh. We have also stated along the way that the gods are not all male they are not tied to a gender. The rules about names does not apply to them. There are several types of control over a child.

1) triggered: normally feral and only working on instinct.
2) forced: this is where the god forces themselves on their child and they take control. The child will talk like the god and everything since the god is controlling them.
3) handed over: This is where the child calls upon the god to help them. The god can then use the full strenght and physical capabilities of the child.

If you have any questions just ask and I will try to explain it better. Also the gods all talk to eachother and cursed children can use the gids to pass messages if the connection between both the god and child and the two children in question. The twins being so close have a very strong connection to each other. They also have a strong connection to their gods and so if they get separated their gods can pass messages on. It is not only tied to siblings though. It ca n be to anyone but the connection to that person has to be strong.

I was just going through some things when I realised....I maaaayyyy have made an oops! *grins sheepishly*
I had originally stated that no character can have a name that begins with an A, as the royal family use that as the distinguishing trait for royals etc. However, I have just now realised that I had forgotten my own rule and approved multiple characters with names beginning with A. Oops!
So! Solution! If your character was born within the Palace of the Cursed, then they can have a name beginning with A (as the Cursed don't know/care about that rule and the guards don't care either). If your character was born outside of the palace and then brought here, they are NOT allowed a name beginning with A.
I really hope that doesn't screw anything up for people! Please accept my humble apologies for this!

The only exception to this Rule is Aelin since she was named by her brother from a book that they found whilst they were children.

And LJF's charrie Andi because he is an already established charrie in a roleplay etc. We will make his backstory fit as well.

First off, I have an apology to make. I had promised you all that I would be back on recently but unfortunately I broke that promise. Life has been so hectic for me around this month and one of my other groups needed an entire overhaul (eep!). I'm so sorry for not getting on!!! For the next 2 weeks I am flat out with work and what not so I will probably not be on GR for a bit. If I can I will post but please forgive me if I don't. I just wanted to let you all know that I haven't forgotten about you and will be back ASAP.
I hope you all have a very merry christmas and a happy new year! Heres to another trip around the sun with all you lovely people!

I am so so so sorry for being away for so long. Please forgive me!!!! This semester at uni has been hellish and I've kind of been drowning. It's all good now though cause I have a break. Yay!!

So so sooooooo sorry I've been away for so long!! Its my last year at uni and its been so busy. Doing my honours thesis and having three other courses plus moving house will do that to a girl. You have my most sincerest apologies!! Please forgive me!!

Just a heads up that my exams are done on Monday (whoop whoop) so I should have more free time after that. Yay!! However, I'm going overseas on the 29th of November and won't be contactable until beginning of January. Spending the entire month of Dec exploring the UK! Hey everyone!! I am so so so sorry for disappearing!!
News, I GRADUATED!!!! WHOOP WHOOP!!! Now I have a degree!!! Yay!! Though now I also have to get a real life adult job. With adult responsibilities. Egh. Anyway, trying to find that adult job has been hella difficult and really emotionally draining so I'm super sorry I haven't been on. Finally got pestered enough by Amanda that I have now returned! Yay!!
