The Cursed get whatever they need sent to them, but many like to grow there own food and so, a small farm was added to the palace grounds.

Dionne | 549 comments Delilah followed the two but then started to move about forward on her own, having seen such a place once before. When the guards had grabbed her and such. Soon enough she stood there and waited.

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments Caleb and Kit soon came up to Delilah's waiting place, and Caleb threw his pile of supplies down in front of him, and wiped his brow.

"A nice place, huh? Or, as much as it can be. Semi private and with a lot of space to work," Caleb said, surveying the area.

"I agree," Kit replied.

Dionne | 549 comments Delilah shrugged, "Yes I guess so, if the guards stayed away it would be," she said before looking around with a grimace/smile sort of way.

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments "Ah, they don't mess with the garden-barn thingy. We'll be good."

message 6: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments "Good," Delilah smiled. "Wouldn't want anything to happen to them, now would they?" and this time the smile was arch or maybe mischievous.

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments Caleb returned the smile, and picked up a few items. "Okay," he said, inspecting a few things, "What animal is this thing going to be?"

Kit shrugged. "I'm not sure."

message 8: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments Delilah thought for a while, ears rising and falling as she became so deep in thought. "How about...um, a deer?"

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments Kit piped up at Delilah's idea. "I think that would be awesome!"

Caleb put a hand on his chin. "Hey, I think that can work. And it's not like the guards know better. Make it vaguely animal shaped, and from up close it's a deer. Okay. I can work with that. Now for the next part: How is this going to move? I know in past pranks I've used almost a pulley system, but I'm not sure whether that will work without it being seen or traced back to us. Any ideas?"

message 10: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments Delilah is confused and it shows on her face. "I've got no idea. Maybe have one of the guards trip it instead of having someone actually and physically there to spring the trap?"

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments Kit smiled. "I think I get what you're saying... I think that could work! What do you think Caleb?"

"Hm..." He nodded his head. "I think I can do that."

message 12: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments Delilah nodded as if in agreement, "Then let's do it." she exclaimed now excited at the prospect of tweaking the guards' noses.

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments "And now the last detail we need to figure out before executing it: where is our little deer escaping? Out the front? The back? Tunneling? Flying?" Caleb asked.

message 14: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments Delilah glanced at Kit in question. "What do you think? I'd say the front or wherever a guard will be walking so they would see since they would be the one springing our little trap in the first place."

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments Kit nodded. "Definitely. I was thinking the same thing."

"Alright. A plan is mostly set. Now it's time to build!"

message 16: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments "I'm willing to help with building, if you need me and tell me what to do," Delilah offered with a smile.

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments "I can Delilah Caleb. But... We need the plans first..."

"Oh, right! I almost forgot to plan it out!" Caleb slapped his forehead then took out a large piece of paper and a pencil. "Here we go. So I'm thinking, use the mannequin for the main body and..." he mumbled some stuff to himself, drawing out the shape and the measurements as he went.

message 18: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments Delilah stood there watching over Caleb's shoulder (metaphysically speaking) and nodding with each movement of his lips. She would point out something that was more accurate but mainly she was quiet.

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments As he finished, Caleb said, "I think we've got our deer! I was thinking you guys could take on the head, since it'll have more detail, and I can start on the main structure of the body. Sound good?"

message 20: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments "Yes sure, thing," Delilah before turning to Kit. "Good idea right?" she asked her.

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments "Yeah, definitely! Let's start with maybe gathering some pieces?" Kit asked.

message 22: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments "Right," Delilah said excitedly. She started moving to gathering what was needed.

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments Caleb gave a nod, glad their plan was coming together, then began to gather his own items.

Kit followed suit.

message 24: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments Delilah continued working, every so often glancing at Kit and Caleb, to see how they were doing.

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments Caleb made almost a rhythm with his tools, making the work a little better.

message 26: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments Delilah was a bit slow at the work she'd been given but gradually she got the hang of it and was able to finish her part. She glanced at Kit with a smile, "You finished?"

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments ((Sorry for the late reply!))

"Mm, just about," Kit replied back, finishing up a bit of screwing just as Delilah asked. "We'll probably want to stick ours together, right Caleb?"

"Yup. After you both finish, your pieces stick together, and then we'll attach mine."

message 28: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments ((No problem.)

"Right, let's do this," Delilah was grinning, like a cheshire cat would grin at Alice. She would move then to do just that.

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments ((Like the description.))

Kit was grinning too, though not as wide as Delilah. She hurried and brought her piece over, grabbing some other tools along the way.

message 30: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments Delilah, on finishing up, with Kit (just mentioning that in passing not god moding) turned to where Caleb was, "So, what now?" she asked him.

message 31: by Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ (last edited Aug 16, 2016 04:26PM) (new)

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments "Screw the pieces together and add some décor to make 'im look like a fluffy deer. That's really all there is. Then we stick mine on, and voila! We've got ourselves a fake deer."

message 32: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments "Right," Delilah said and began doing what he said. Even as she worked, her mouth would start to water since it was starting to look like one. She finished with the decor and passed if off to Caleb, "There you go. And your turn." she finished.

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments "Thank you," he said, tipping an imaginary hat. He stuck some decoration onto his piece, then turned to Kit. "Can you grab the (name of tool). Thanks."

"Sure." She made her way over to their pile of supplies and grabbed it.

message 34: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments Delilah watched this between the two. Kit and Caleb seemed like they were good friends. Delilah wished for that as well, but with the way her life was going, they may be hard.

"So, where are we going to put it for the guards to 'accidentally' find?" she asked.

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments "Well," Caleb started, "Later this evenin' I'll stick it out, I think we agreed near the front entrance?"

Kit nodded in agreement.

"Anyone want to go out with me tonight?"

message 36: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments Delilah glanced at them, "Go put it out right?" she queried. She was all for it hopefully Caleb was silent and they didn't end up getting caught beforehand. "I'm game if you're silent and stuff."

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments "Ah, you doubt my skills? The Night is my friend as I am naturally nocturnal. Of course I'll be silent," he said, smiling, "The question is, will you?"

message 38: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments Delilah smiled at that which broadened into a grin, then finally she laughed. "Silent, oh yes. How do you think I've been able to stay away from the guards and such for so long."

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments "Well okay then Ms. Silence. Meet here... say 1:00? It's a bit early, but it'll work. And Kit, you coming too?"

"Uh, yeah. Do we need specific parts for this job, or are we going at once?"

message 40: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments "I'll be there and let's hope you're as silent too," Delilah was grinning so as to show there was no hard feelings there. She turned to Kit, "Great! It's good you're coming too Kit."

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments "Great!" Caleb said, referring towards Kit coming. "I'm thinking one of us'll need to distract a bit so we have time to set up. I can get around a lot of guards, but having all at once might complicate things a bit. Kit, do you think you can distract?"

"Yeah, I think so."

message 42: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments "Of course if I tried to distract it might get worse. Those guards know my penchance for violence regarding themselves, that is considering my past..." Delilah said and her eyes sort of darkened at the thought of her family being killed in their search for her, just because she was a little bit different.

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments "Uh," Caleb started, unsure of what to say, "Yeah. You can stick with me. Kit's got the distraction covered. And besides, I'll need your sneaky silence in setting up."

message 44: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments Delilah's grim eyes sort of faded and she grinned. Though the grin was more malicious than ever, "Sure thing. You sure you don't want me to 'distract' them. I can guarantee they will be. And then some." And she laughed. "Of course, It would be okay to stick with you instead. That wouldn't be a distraction, more a slaughter. On the guards side that is, or things might end up worse."

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments "Judging on your relationship with the guards, it'd probably be best if we stuck together."

message 46: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments "Not a problem here," Delilah said with a shrug. Then she turned to Kit, "You going to be all right doing this?" She was concerned for Kit, to be sure but figured the girl could handle herself. At least, she hoped so.

Penelope ~Conversations with my cat~ | 584 comments "Yeah, I think so," Kit replied. "I mean, this is one of the bigger pranks we've done, so I'm a little worried at the outcome, but I can handle it." She gave a reassuring smile.

"Ah, you've got it Kit. I've seen you do better than this before."

message 48: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments "All right then, let's do this," Delilah said in a decisive tone of voice. She was looking forward to hitting the guards where it hurt, metaphorically speaking since she couldn't do such for real. This would have to do.

message 50: by Dionne (new)

Dionne | 549 comments (Sure. Where to?)
