Solarstar

Mudstream padded into camp with some fresh fish that she'd caught from a nearby stream. she put the fish in the fresh kill pile.

Solarstar padded from her den, approaching Mudstream.
"Good morning," The shecat leader dipped her head at the warrior. She glanced at the meal, "Thank you,"

Mudstream nodded respectfully "You're welcome. just doing my job,"

The clan was doing a good job. "Have you been on any patrols lately?" She asked sitting as she curled her tail around her.

"I was on one just yesterday," Mudstream responded

"What did you see? What did you find?" The leader was curious. "How is Bluestar?" She asked, "I heard she got sick,"

"Everything was normal except for a fox scent trail, luckily old and headed away from us. As for Bluestar i have not heard anything recently," Mudstream said

Solar star sighed, "good work. Have you had a apprentice yet?" She asked padding around the warrior.

"No, I have not," Mudstream said

"Hmm...," The leader mentally noted. Her tail flicked Mudstream's eyebrow. "Come," Solarstar said walking towards the camp entrance.

Mudstream followed Solarstar, slightly curious.

Solarstar emerged on the other side of the camp and padded through the trail which lead to the river.

Mudstream padded behind Solarstar at a respectful distance. she was a wise respectful cat, but did sometimes have a playful attitude especially around kits.

Mudstream stopped, hearing a rustling in the foliage. she sniffed the air, searching for a scent.

Solarstar turned around. He too sniffed the air.

Mudstream caught a brief scent. smirking she jumped into the foliage and walked back out carrying Tumblekit in her mouth by the scruff of his kneck. "Awwww. i wasn't following you guys, promise," Tumblekit said.

Solar star wore an amused smile, "Right," The leader purred. "Then what were you doing so far away from camp little one?"

"I was chasing a butterfly," Tumblekit lied. Mudstream let go of Tumblekit. "More like fox scent. the scent trail isn't far from here," she said. Tumblekit flattened his ears ashamed of being caught.

Solar star chuckled, "Since you're here you might aswwll join us," the leader said. He was smart. He knew his mother would repremand tumble kit when he returned to the clan.

Tumblekit perked up. "Really? thank you! Did you know I get to be an apprentice soon?!" he rambled on bouncing up and down, energetically. Mudstream smiled, watching. she wanted kits of her own but had no mate.

((Would u be open to having Solar Star secretly mate with Mudstream but not like become mates?))

Solarstar smiled. "Wonderful," he purred, "And whom do u think would be you mentor?" He asked.

"I don't know. i hope it's someone really brave and strong like you or Mudstream!" Tumblekit said bouncing

Solarstar smiled, proudly, "Those are excellent required traits for a mentor," he commented, acknowledging the kit had a wonderful sense of a good mentor. He glanced at Mudstream. He observed her.

Tumblekit smiled and pounced at a bug on the ground. "I got it!" he said in triumph. Mudstream smiled, watching the energetic kit, the breeze blowing through her fur gently.

Solarstar flicked is tail, "Onward," He said bounding forward.

Mudstream followed easily. Tumblekit struggled a little to keep up, partially because he kept getting distracted

Solar star lead them to the border.

Mudstream checked the air for scents frequently, mostly for Tumblekit's safety. Mudstream was curious and unsure as to why Solarstar would lead them to the border

Just then, Bluestar appeared. Her fur was smooth and silky and her eyes glistened in the sunlight. She blinked. Her ears flickered back and fourth and her tail curled around her feet. She first glanced at the kit then at Solar star.

Tumblekit bounced up and down excited. Mudstream stayed calm but alert.

Bluestar blinked. Then asked, "What is the meaning of this?" Her eyes narrowed slightly. She was a fairly new leader but was making quite an impression on all other clans.

Tumblekit was about to say something when Mudstream gave him a 'stay quiet' look. she knew it was best to let Solarstar speak.

Solarstar replied, "I could ask you the same," She sat and curled her tail around her. Bluestar's tail flickered impatiently.

Tumblekit moved behind Mudstream, a little more nervous now. Mudstream could tell something wasn't right.

"It seems prey is scarce and a patrol informed me they saw your cats hunting on my territory," bluestar stated.

Mudstream stepped forward. "we have been doing no such thing,"

The thunder clan leader glared at the warrior. "Was I speaking to you?" Her tail flickered in annoyance

Mudstream was quiet but her stance showed she wasn't backing down.

The leader took her own stance, her own tail mimicking Bluestar.

Tumblekit slowly backed away then ran back to the rest of the clan. Mudstream's tail swished side to side in a non-threatening way.

The leaders held each other at eye level, a growl growing in both their throats.

Mudstream crouched down, ready for anything.

Out of no where a black streak jumped out of the bush behind her and leaped at the warrior from the other clan.

Mudstream hissed, her tail puffing up. she wasn't startled, just defensive.

Broken wing walked into camp. She slunk off on her own. "I hate other clans." She muttered. She had just chased a squirrel but it crossed the border. She had kept going and got stopped and came back with nothing.
