What is your favorite book, if you can't pick one of the Harry Potter books? Perhaps there is a similar book you would like to recommend?

I LOVED the Harry Potter Series, there are my favorite books EVER. but there are a few close seconds in my mind. These include the Hunger Games, The 5th Wave, Percy Jackson, Maximum Ride and most recently the shadow children series.
My favorites are anything by Rick Riordan, Hunger Games, Maximum Ride, the Selection Series, the Lunar chronicles and so many more... But Harry Potter is my favorite!!!!
My favorite book besides Harry Potter is a Night Divided by Jennifer Nieslon! She also wrote the False Prince!

I am number four series by Pittacus Lore, Virals series, Eragon Series, you can look in my bookshelf on my profile I have so many different kinds of books that are amazing I love almost all the ones I have read

I LOVE the white rabbit chronicles and the iron fey & call of the forgotten series, they're awesome and they have a lot of fantasy in it!

My favorite book of all time is The Messanger by Markus Zusak. It's just so funny and deep and wonderful!

I really don't know how to describe so this is the description online: Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, the Gasman, and Angel. Six kids who are pretty normal in most ways—except that they're 98 percent human, 2 percent bird. Elsa you should definitely read them! They are some of my favorite books!

Another one of my favourites is The Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi. It's a graphic novel and is hilarious! A must read for everyone.

I definitely will!
probably an unpopular choice but my personal favourite HP book is the order of the phoenix. favourite series other than HP is the percy jackson books by rick Riordan.
my favourite stand alone book would have to be I'll give you the sun by jandy nelson (<3) and a series I'm also in love with (which I actually just pictures the hardcover box set for SO EXCITED) is the mortal instruments by Cassandra Clare xx
You should read Percy Jackson, then Heroes of Olympus, then Kane Chronicles... Love the references to each other!!! Don't forget the crossovers!
I've recently read noughts & crosses and I definitely recommend to anyone who likes dystopian fiction, IT'S SO GOOD!
The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings are great stories and one of my cherished fandoms. They are definitely a bit of a challenge to read given how complex the story is and how detailed Tolkien gets, but I would highly recommend reading them or at least watching the special extended versions of the films (warning: the extended films are like 4hrs long...)!
I love tiger's curse series by Colleen houck! She's an amazing author. And I also like the body finder series by Kimberly derting
The hunger games, Suzanne Collins
Chaos walking, Patrick Ness
Noughts and crosses, Malorie Blackman
these are all amazing!!!

I'm amazed with how many of us Harry Potter Fans like Rick Riordan's books since that is also my second favourite.I have always wondering should i read the hunger games or not but i'm kind of scared that it would be.. to depressing for my light reading. i've been wondering indecisively in the bookstore for quite a while. for those who have read it: is it?
