Maybe Mercury and Shadow were originally thought to be siblings but it turned out they werent? idk tbh
How about the prophecy is about 6 wolves that are trying to stop Shadow from ruling all the tribes

Ya! Maybe Shadow still had admiration towards the impressive assassin Mercury.
OMg i just got an idea! Afterwards when Shadow and Lenox mate, Lenox doesn't show any signs of expecting a pup anytime soon and ivestigate only to be told that she is unable to produce offspring and she gets extremly upset that she plans to attack another pack and steal a new pup and then Shadow and her raise it as their own.
