They were finally moving. It was her birthday, and they were moving. Ava was so excited, walking around the new house was like taking a breath of fresh air. The rooms were gorgeous, spacious, and, the best part-- they were all connected by doorways that didn't require keycards. The new home was perfect, and as Ava was unpacking in her new room, her parents were in the kitchen, Aden in Persephone's room, and everyone else had just picked a room and started to unpack. She was wearing a cute pair of denim shorts and a pink tank top with Ruffles on the front, with a little plastic tiara sitting pretty on her head. Her hair was down long and straight, her makeup barely existent. It was her seventeenth birthday, and she was surrounded by friends, a new house, and wide, sunny Windows. But all she could think about was one boy, one boy that probably wouldn't even show up. When the doorbell rang, though, she booked down the stairs and to the door, flinging it open in hopes of seeing the boy she'd kissed two weeks ago.
Bex was so excited, she was finally going to be right next door to her best friend in the whole world, Celeste. The kids didn't know yet, it was going to be a surprise for the twins big day. She had baby Logan tucked closely to her chest in a baby sling, James was on one side of her, with bags in his hands, and Theresa was on the other. Everyone she loved would be in this house, she smiled brightly and rang the doorbell, anticipation running through her. She and James had purchased a house literally next door to the McClouds. Was that a bit much? Maybe to some people, but they weren't just 'some' people. The couples were very close, and had been through so much together. The distance, especially with the new baby, was driving Bex mad, so James surprised her with a set of keys, and told her that she would soon be managing her Pastry shop in person, the one at the Liv hotel. Nothing could have made her happier, Bex looked up as the door swung open, there stood Ava. Oh, she'd grown so! Bex walked up and hugged the girl, "Happy birthday! I can't believe you're 17, oh surprise, we're moving in next door," Bex was gushing with happiness and excitement, she literally dragged in James and Theresa with her, and went off looking for Celeste. (We can rp them, or wait, but I wanted Ava to be like aw, he's not coming)
Jae was wrestling with two puppies at his home, upon getting Ava's birthday present, well he'd kind of gotten himself one as well. Twins, that was what the breeder had said, he'd also said they couldn't be separated for long bursts of time. So Jae had somehow ended up paying for two puppies, instead of just one. He would be taking one, while giving Ava the other, his friends had said they were 'couple' dogs. Couples anything was very popular in Korea, Jae had to hold back from rolling his eyes, even though truly he liked the idea of having things like that with Ava. The teenager readied the unnamed dog, and put his dog, Fiona, in her crate he'd bought her. She didn't have a collar yet, but he thought that himself and Ava could go do that together, he'd gotten her a $500 gift card to a cute puppy boutique near the Liv. Jae headed out with the dog to the car that was waiting for him, these puppies were going to make him be on the bike a lot less. Jae tried to be upset about it, but couldn't bring himself to be as the puppy in his arms licked his face. Jae slid in, let the driver know the address, and settled back for the ride, praying the pup wouldn't pee on the leather seats.

((I'm just gonna do Ava so I can squeeze a reply in rn!! Celeste in the next post I promise!!))
The door swung open, and in the doorway, framed perfectly, was, bex. And James. Which was great! But it wasn't Jae, so Ava's face fell without her permission. "Hey guys!" She chirped, smiling especially at Theresa, who was only a few months older than she and Aden. "You are? Wow! That's great!" She grinned fully, really trying to be excited. She moved aside to let bex in and cooed at baby Logan for a moment before the family scampered off to the kitchen to see her parents, and probably hunt down Aden, eventually. Ava stepped out the doorway and looked around, peeking each way down the street in her silly tiara, hoping sto see a smart mouthed Korean boy. But np luck, so she closed the door and rolled her eyes at herself, coaching her mind into not caring. "So when did you guys decide to move?" She asked as she hopped her way into the kitchen, grabbing up a cookie on the way.

Bex was so relieved to finally be in Paris, she worried about Celeste being by herself, with all those primpy socialites. When she saw her bestfriend she just melted, Bex handed Logan, carefully, over to James, and handed him the sling to put on with the sleeping boy. Logan was only five months old, so he was still very dependent on his parents. She then walked over to her friend and grabbed her into a fierce hug, "Oh how I've missed you my love," She whispered, tears pricking her eyes. Bex was still very emotional since having Logan, the doctor said it was partly because she was still breast feeding, the other part was just pure hormones. Bex stepped back and held Celeste at arms length, "You look wonderful!" The French woman turned to look at Ava over her shoulder and smiled warmly, "It was a surprise actually from your uncle Jame- " She was interrupted by another doorbell ringing, "You expecting more people?" She turned to look back at Celeste.
Jae stepped from the car, puppy in his arms, he also had a small bag with the gift card in it, and a few necessities for the first night with puppy. Then he had a box under an arm, it was a pair of shoes for Ava's twin, he'd gotten in touch with Celeste again, she'd told him what to get. All in all, Jae had his hands full, so when he got up to the door it took some creative maneuvering on his part to ring the door bell. As he was standing there, waiting, he was juggling it all, hoping that it wouldn't all come tumbling from his arms. He couldn't wait to see Ava, to see her look of surprise, and hopefully happiness? Jae almost didn't dare to hope, they'd had radio silence since their project day, so it was up in the air on how she'd react to him even being there.

Celeste was sorting out her pots and pans with jack when she heard the distinct squealing of Bex Silus. Her head perked up, and her whole body actually straightened in excitement. "Bex?" She called out, and once her friend was in sight, she practically skipped over to her and embraced her in a hug. "I've missed you so much! How's baby Logan? How long are you staying?" She asked excitedly, her arms still basically around bex. The last few months had been hard without her around, Celeste hadn't gone as much as a few weeks without seeing bex since they were in high school. She was almost as important to her as Jack, but if she had to pick, her hubby would probably come first. The doorbell rang again and Celeste grinned easily "I ordered pizza," she said honestly, but had an inkling it wasn't the pizza guy "Ava honey, could you get it?" She asked, and as Ava went off to answer the door, Celeste told bex in a hushed tone all about how she'd but in on Ava's romantic life.
The doorbell rang again and Ava felt another jolt of excitement, that is, until her mom claimed it was their pizza delivery. Still, Ava grabbed her father's credit card and ran to the door, flinging it open in hopes of getting some melted cheese before t got to that less than scalding temperature. Instead, she found Jae, holding a wiggling puppy, a bag, a box, and a look of pure nerves. Ava suddenly felt silly in her birthday crown and her Ruffled pink shirt, but she smiled all the same "Oh! Hey jay, I thought you were the pizza guy." She said in an easy going manner. Her cheeks turned pink "Not that you're a disappointment. I would rather see you than a pizza guy. Unless the pizza guy was Douglas booth or something, then I would want Douglas booth." Ava rambled, but tried to shake herself out of it, focusing on the puppy in Jae's arms "When did you get a dog? She's so cute!" Ava said in a rushed way, patting the dogs head and forgetting to actually move aside so Jae could enter her new home. She didn't even k ow how he got the address.

Just when he thought he might get back into his car and leave the door was flung open and there was the birthday girl. She had on a crown, and a pretty shirt, she was so pretty that he forgot to breathe for a moment. "Happy birthday," He got out between her rambling, she seemed to be a box of nerves as well, he couldn't help the small smile that came to his face, "Oh her? She's uh," He handed her off to Ava, "Happy birthday, I got her for you." There he'd made the commitment, now it was up to her on how to take it. He was going to tell her about the twin puppy at home too, but first he was watching her reaction to the present he'd gotten her. Would she freak out and throw the pup at him? Slam the door in his face? Or would she receive his gift and the love that he was trying to show for her?
Jae was smiling at her, and Ava barely knew what to think. The next thing she knew, a puppy was being pushed into her arms and a little pink tongue was licking her face like crazy. "Oh my-" she was cut off by her own giggles, since the dog was absolutely ecstatic to see her. "Oh my god Jae, she's for me?" Ava asked excitedly, looking between the boy and the fluff ball in her arms. She was smiling so much that her face hurt. Did this mean he liked her to? Or was this a friendship puppy?? Ava barely cared as she played with the dogs paws. "Does she have a name yet?" She asked, scratching the dogs head and making adorable noises at the little thing. Ava moved to the side so Jae could come in, her face still smuggled into the puppy's fur. "Jae?" She muttered, beckoning him closer with her free hand. She was sitting on the staircase by then with the dog in her lap, grinning like a fool. "Come here," she said. This was his test. If he kissed her lips, they were a couple. And if not, well, then they were just friends.
((Omg can Jack please walk in to see Jae and Ava kissing with a wiggly puppy in tow))

(Sorry I didn't even see this!)
It was like she'd been given the world, Ava's face was glowing with happiness, a sense of pride went through Jae, he'd obviously chosen the right present. "No, no name yet. She's all yours to name and figure out, the breeder did inform me that she's potty trained, so that's a relief... since I have her twin," Would she take that as a sign? He wasn't so sure, but it was amazing to see her so happy and immersed with the dog. Jae entered the new home, it looked amazing for them just moving in, he could hear murmurs coming from a different room, signaling other people in the home. Ava sat down on the stairs, inviting him to come sit next to her, he couldn't help but do her bidding, so he positioned himself next to her, they fit snugly on the staircase. Jae looked at her, she looked at him, that moment in time stood still, then he was leaning in to kiss her, without a second thought. His eyes closed just before their lips touched, a hand went to her cheek.
Jack shook hands, awkwardly, with James, he had baby Logan in his arms, and Jack didn't want to wake the little fellow. "Its good to have ye here mate," Jack started pouring them both a drink. "Do ye like the place next door? It suits the family? The growing family, might I add," With a wink he handed over a glass to James, and lightly pinched baby Logan's cheek. "He's a keeper that one, the ladies will be all over him. I'm sure you're having problems with the other one, just as I am... never thought I'd have problems with Ava but...." He looked to where his daughter had just been. "Speaking of the birthday girl, excuse me James, I'll be right back," Jack set down his glass and went in search of Ava. He thought that she might be with the pizza man still, but no, the door was closed. He was just turning around when he caught sight of a couple on the stairs kissing. There was a dog too! Jack's jaw went slack, "AVA MCCLOUD!"

Ava's stomach was swarming with butterflies, making her feel so nervous that she might just feint right then and there. What if Jae just hugged her?? How would she handle being just his friend? She had no idea, and thankfully, she didn't have to find out, because Jae's lips touched hers, and her heart swelled so much it might burst. Ava kissed Jae back sweetly, none of the crazy passion that'd been in their kisses by the tower. Her lips were just skimming against his. Jae's hand was cupping her cheek, and she felt herself start to grin uncontrollably. He liked her back. A boy that she liked, liked her back. They could be together, and be happy. Ava was just about to break their kiss when she heard her name being roared by a distinctly fatherly voice. She scooted away from Jae and her cheeks bloomed pink as she looked up at her father. "Sorry da!" She chirped, but couldn't bring herself to sound guilty. She was so excited to be with Jae for real "Look! Jae got me a puppy!" Ava said happily, patting the dog behind the ears.
((No problem lee!!))
((No problem lee!!))
Jae was immersed in the kiss, giving no thoughts to maybe getting caught while tied up in the kiss with the Irish girl before him. The two just seemed to fit together perfectly, and there was nothing really keeping them apart now, since he decided to let her take as big a leap as she liked. Jae was a risk, anyone that knew him knew that, Noah was the only one that had successfully stayed by his side for a long time, mostly because he was a stubborn lout. Jae jumped, turning he found a red faced, Irish man glaring at the two of them, Mr. McCloud. Jae' felt nervous all of a sudden, though he wasn't sure why, he stood up and held his hand out, "Sorry about that Mr. McCloud. Just a friendly birthday kiss, I swear, I don't know if you remember me or not, Jae," He waited to see what the older gentlemen would do, he certainly didn't look happy.
Jack was sure that he had to be imagining things, there was no way that his sweet, innocent daughter, Ava, was being caught making out with some boy. That was Olivia, not Ava, Ava was the good one, the booksmarts one, the one that never even wondered about boys, right? Jack could have hauled the boy up and threw him on the streets, he was that mad. Instead he waited to see how the two would react, they jumped apart, Ava not looking guilty in the least, and the boy only looking slightly embarrassed. The boy stood and introduced himself, that was when Jack remembered him from the dance. He waited, letting the seconds tick by, hoping to make Jae sweat, before he shook the boys hand, tightly. He then glanced towards Ava, his face became slightly more gentle, only because he knew that he and Ava were on icy terms, and he wanted to repair the damage. "She's a doll Ava, ye might want to be talking to yer Mum about that though, I'm not sure how she'll be taking it," Jack then went to retreat to the kitchen, he threw a look over his shoulder, his eyes on Jae, "Two feet distance from me daughter, at the least."

Ava watched with a touch of amusement in her eyes as her father shook Jae's hand. He was obviously trying to intimidate him, and by the look on Jae's face, she'd say it was actually working. Jack soon was stalking away, and Ava looked over at Jae with a cute little smirk on her face. "Just q friendly birthday kiss?" She asked, only sounding a little insulted. But Ava left her question open ended and took his hand with her free one, pulling him trough the dining room and out the French doors that led to a fenced in back yard. A nice patch of grass, a pool, and a patio were all there, squished into the Parisian space. Ava let the dog down and watched as she began to run in circles around the space. Ava grinned and looked over at Jae, her eyes worried as she saw the nerves on his face. "Are we on the same page here, Jae?" She asked, hope filling her tone. Ava was pretty sure she was standing with her first boyfriend ever, but there was no way of knowing what said boy was thinking.
Friendly kiss, yeah that was a lie. Jae's lips twitched when Ava mentioned it, he followed her through a few rooms, until they were at the back of the house where they had a fairly good sized yard. It was nice, much more homey than the hotel, or even his own place. Ava let the puppy done, and she took off, running here and there, sniffing, exploring, she was gorgeous. "I'll have to bring her sister over for playdates," Jae commented, he slipped a hand into hers. "Yes we're on the same page here Ava, at least," He turned to face her, peering into her eyes, "I hope so." The longing to kiss her was there, but he restrained, in case her father was watching. Plus he needed to treat her like she deserved, and not like any other girl. She was someone that deserved respect, not only to her spirit, but to her body as well. Jae finally smiled, "So do you like her? Her twin is just as feisty, if not more so.." He looked almost pained by the thought of having the dog in his home.
Jae was right about the dog, she was adorable. She was running with her ears flipping in the wind, making Ava's heart soar almost as much as Jae himself was. "Yeah, she'd kind of perfect already. What do you think I should name her?" She asked, wondering about names like Penny and Lou, thinking over the idea of having a dog. "She'll have to sleep in my bed, and I can put her bowls in the kitchen. Do I have to get special bowls?" She wondered aloud, but Jae cut her off with one of the most intense gazes she'd ever seen. Ava actually felt a shiver go down her spine. "I'm on the relationship page." She told him "The gooey one where we go on dates and kiss and hold hands." She said, looking down at his hand entwined with hers. On the subject of the dog, Ava gleamed with happiness. "Are you kidding? I love her already. I've always wanted a dog, but everyone always said I was too busy for one." She muttered with pursed lips. "She's perfect Jae," Ava leaned close and kissed his cheek sweetly "thanks you." She said quietly, her cheeks pink with the blush.
It was obvious that Ava was going to spoil the puppy rotten, there was no going back now. Jae held back a laugh as she spoke of what she was going to do, and even wondered if she should get special bowls. He turned serious when she spoke of their relationship, it would seem that he and she would both be on new ground. Jae hadn't really been serious with anyone before, so this was going to be an adventure to say the least. "You're welcome," He replied, bringing her into his side, and holding her there against him as they watched the puppy run around and play in her new surroundings. "You definitely need to give her a name," Jae looked thoughtful, "I named her twin Fiona, do you have any ideas of what you would like to name her? Oh here, this is for you too," He handed her the card with the money on it for the boutique, "I thought we could go together to get the puppies their supplies and collars, I mean if you want to that is."
Being pulled all snugly against Jae's side felt unreal to Ava. She'd been wanting to be this close to him for so long that it almost felt unreal. But she decided to just enjoy it, so Ava laid her head on his shoulder and watched her new pup with a relaxed expression. "Fiona's a pretty name. What do you think of lulu for her?" She asked, still smiling. "I still can't believe you got me a dog. Or that you have a dog. Will you remember to feed it?" She teased, eyes shining while she looked at him. So he wanted to go collar shopping? Well that was interesting. The only time they'd gone shopping together, he'd followed her into a lingerie store. But there was s first time for everything. "That sounds fun!" She chirped, nodding in s kind way. Jae was realły trying for her, and that made her even more thankful for the strange boy in her life. "Did you have any say in mind? I have ballet tomorrow morning but the rest of the day is free." She said, watching her dog run in circles.
They were there, standing together, on her parents lawn, like it was any other day, and they'd been doing this for years. Jae couldn't believe how comfortable, yet nervous, if he felt around the Irish girl. It was an all new experience for him, to be sure, and he was still adjusting. The puppy seemed right at home as well, she fit in perfectly, and didn't seem shy in the least about exploring. Jae and Ava watched her as she wandered around, and she spoke as they did so. He thought about it, he was free the next day, if she was. "Ballet? You do ballet?" The surprise was evident in Jae's voice, he didn't think she seemed like the type. But then again, this girl surprised him at every turn, so he should just get used to the unexpected. "I could wait for you while you practiced? Then we could go together, with the pups, and I think Lulu is a perfect name. I could pick her up before coming to get you? If that's alright with your parents of course." He didn't need to be stepping on any more toes in that department.
Ava wouldn't admit it, but she kind of enjoyed how surprised Jae was to learn about her ballet lessons. She liked that he wasn't the only one being surprised. She nodded to him and smiled some "It's something my parents have made me do. I wasn't a fan at first, but it's kind of become my thing since moving here. It's the same as it was in Ireland, ya know?" She suggested, hoping he wouldn't call her dumb. But he was her boyfriend now, so he'd better not call her stupid if he wanted to live. "That sounds good, I'll tell you the added before you leave. And they won't mind you picking up lulu." She assured him, her smile delicate as she looked up at him. The dog had galloped back to her by then, and Ava suddenly felt interested in showing Jae her new room. "I think the pizzas here by now, wanna go up to my room to eat? I want to show it to Lulu." She lied, taking Jae's hand and tugging him towards the house. Little Lulu followed right behind them, Ava feeling excited to present her boyfriend to her parents and good friends.
Ballet, his girlfriend did ballet, how amazing was that? It only made him like her more, and respect her more as well. It was hard to exactly explain his feelings in that moment, but they were overwhelming, and he almost felt like he should grab her and hug her. Her smile made his heart squeeze, their hands were linked, and she was soon tugging on him, leading him towards the large home, where her closest friends and family were. Were they going to be okay with the two of them? Ava's dad was a bit intimidating, but nothing compared to his own father, so he knew that he would be okay. He would impress the old man, and that would be that, her mom seemed to like him already. Jae let her tug him into the house, "Yeah we can eat in your room," He told her as they entered the house.
Ava couldn't really explain how happy she was in that moment. Her smoky had just moved into a gorgeous home, leaving hotel living in the past. It was her birthday. The boy she liked, really, truly liked, had just been declared her boyfriend. And, to top it all off, said boyfriend had given her an adorable puppy as a gift. Ava grinned and swung their arms a little bit as they walked up to the house together, the dog trotting behind them. It seemed perfect, and when Ava walked inside, she beamed as she strode right into the kitchen, her head held high as she looked at her parents, and her favorite aunt and uncle. "Hey guys! This is my boyfriend, Jae." She introduced him, looking very proud of herself. "And Jae, you already know my parents, but this is James and Bex Silus. Oh and that's Logan." She said, pointing at the adorable baby. "They're like family, only not by blood." She chirped. Ava grabbed a gold trimmed dish and placed a couple slices of pizza on it, handing a plate to Jae so he could get himself some of the greasy food, too.
The cars passed by quickly, Jae wasn't exactly going the speed limit in his new Nissan Rogue. It was the car his dad had gifted him after finding out he had a puppy. It was apparently the responsible vehicle when owning pets, so Jae couldn't exactly argue, plus it was one of the first thoughtful gifts his dad had given him. Fiona wined in the backseat, Jae had buckled her up in a doggy carseat, even though his friends had said to put a crate in the back and put her in that. He didn't see that as being humane, but now he was rethinking the carseat too, maybe he should have just let her sit up front with him. Jae wove in and out of traffic, he was running a bit behind. He screeched to a halt in front of the McCloud house, "I'll be right back." He called to his pup, then he ran up the front steps, and slipped the key out from under the mat.
The click of the lock was only the first sound that reached his ears, the next was whining and barking, very similar to Fiona's whine and bark. "I'm coming Lola," He called out and went quickly up the stairs. He knew where Ava's bedroom was from the housewarming party. Jae let himself into the bedroom and was instantly pounced upon, not that it effected him much since Lola was still a puppy, he gathered the young dog into his arms. "Hey there," He muttered, he didn't need to pretend to be a hard ass in front of the dog, so he buried his face into her fur for a moment before heading back out to his vehicle. The scent of Ava clung to Lola's fur, making Jae ache to her even more, upon entering the Rogue again, he let Fiona out of her seat, and let both pups romp around freely in the back seat as he drove to Ava's recital hall.
"Again," the instructor barked, making Ava wish her feet would just fall off so she didn't have to continue. It was reversal day, seeing as their production was only a week away. That day was only for the main dancers, though, so it wasn't too crowded. Ava had managed to land the lead role in their recital, so she had to be there constantly, always working and practicing when she had free time. But that day was the one and only day she had to get out of there. Because Jae, her enemy turned friend turned boyfriend, was coming to pick her up after rehearsal to take her shopping for dog supplies for their new puppies. And before getting back in position, Ava checked the clock, a small whimper escaping her as she realized the time, knowing Jae was probably just waiting outside. That's when the male lead, Alexi, gave her a pointed look, and she let out a soft sigh. Ava reset herself in her main position, body bent so she was close to the ground with her arms cupped below her. When the music started, she moved her feet quickly, gradually straightening up as she went. She was supposed to look like a swan spreading its wings, and somehow, Ava, in her black leotard and flesh tones tights, managed to look like just that.
He tapped his fingers against the steering wheel as he peered at the building in front of him. Ava was late, and it was making Jae nervous. What if something had happened? Could a ballet dancer break her ankle so easily? No, not Ava, she was tough, and didn't make mistakes so easy. Still, Jae ended up unbuckling his seatbelt, cracking the windows for the dogs, and getting out of the car. He left the pups where they were, it was a nice day after all, and headed towards the building itself, he would find her himself. The satisfaction of seeing her alive, and well, it was on him, so he would need to search her out. Jae spoke to a security man in the front, and found out where to go to find the ballet recital hall. It didn't take him long, all of five minutes, and he was walking to an entryway and peering in. He entered smoothly, looking fashionable, his hair perfection, his hands were in his pockets as his eyes found Ava immediately. Her back was to him, but he still zeroed in on her in not time, knowing her profile like the back of his hand. She was dancing, beautifully, with some guy, that irked Jae some, but he wouldn't let it show, especially somewhere that meant so much to Ava. Instead he stood there coolly, ignoring those around him, and waited patiently for the beautiful creature before him in a very distracting leotard.
She knew he would be waiting, Jae was usually on time, and he has the dogs, too. She did her best to be quick in her rehearsal, but there wasn't much she could do. She was twirling, leaping, jumping, dancing as if she were on autopilot. He'd focus was there. That is, until she twirled in so many circles in a row that she could've sworn she saw Jae. She actually stopped dancing and almost fell over in surprise at seeing him. Ava caught herself though, and seeing her stumble, the director chuckled. "It looks like you've had enough for today, miss McCloud." She said in a good natured tone, her smile reassuring Ava that she'd done enough for that day. "Yes ma'am." Ava responded, giving Alexi a hug and waving to some of the girls before walking over to Jae with a smile "Hey." She muttered, her stomach a pot of nerves. She wanted to kiss him hello, but was that alright? Were they that kind of couple, or not? She wasn't sure, so after hesitating close to Jae for a moment, Ava ducked a few steps away to grab her duffel bag. She slung her tiny purse over her body and pulled on the stretchy skirt she had lying beside her things. In just a moment, she had her pointe shoes off and in her bag, and was standing by Jae, ready to go.
She was doing wonderfully, moving so gracefully, she had confidence like nothing he'd ever seen before. Then, she made eye contact with the entranced, teenage boy, and as they did, she fell. Jae hid a smirk, a little bit proud that he could distract her so, of course he wouldn't brag that to her, it wouldn't be right. But his chest kind of puffed out more, and he looked absolutely proud when she managed to get her things and stood by him. He took her bag from her, carrying it easily, then he took her hand, and began leading her out of the practice room, there were stares, and whispers behind hands, but Jae paid them no attention, only concentrating on the girl beside him, and the hand he held in his own. "How was your day? It looked like you were having a lot of fun in there," Okay so maybe some of Jae's jealousy came out with that word, after all, he'd had to watch her hug that guy that she was dancing with. It was bad enough that she danced with him, let alone hugged him too! It was different for Jae to feel such emotions, but also refreshing, the couple headed out of the building and to the sports suv, where two puppies were waiting, their wet noses pressed against the passenger window.
People were watching after her, but Ava had already explained that her boyfriend would be picking her up. They were just being nosy, wanting more information than they actually needed. So Ava grasped Jae's hand tightly and walked out, giggling at the jealous bite she could hear in his voice. "I did have fun. Alexi's girlfriend did too, actually, she's one of the other dancers." She mentioned casually, squeezing Jae's hand to let him know he had nothing to worry about. She wanted to ask him what he thought of how she danced, and if he thought there was anything he could do better, but that was a dangerous thing to ask someone as honest as Jae, so she kept her mouth shut. That is, until they exited the building, where Ava muttered a "hey" and tugged Jae close to her "I haven't gotten a kiss yet." She told him in a very serious tone, her forehead resting against his. She'd get the dogs in just a minute.
The weather was nice, and Jae was glad that the two of them would have the afternoon to themselves. Ava sounded like she was trying to reassure him, but Jae couldn't help the jealousy that nagged him at seeing her hug some other guy. He ignored her comment, but stopped when she tugged him close to her, their bodies were meshed together, and their foreheads were touching. Jae closed his eyes for a minute, it was hard to believe that he was really dating this girl, and that it was okay, they were okay, and nothing catastrophic had happened between them yet. Jae dropped her bag, and her hand, then he wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned in to kiss her. Her lips were soft, and moist, they kind of tasted like strawberries, Jae usually wasn't one for public affection like this, but he'd missed her too. He kissed her for a good long minute, right there in the middle of the street, before coming up for air, but he didn't let go, and his lips were still very close to hers. "I missed you too," came his whisper.
He didn't seem reassured by Ava's comments on Alexi, but she wasn't really worried about it. She knew she would never cheat on Jae, so if Jae wanted to be jealous, that was fine, since there wasn't actually anything to worry about. He was definitely listening to her though, because as soon as Ava mentioned kissing, he was on her like white on rice. His arms were wrapped around her waist and he was holding her close, making Ava wish they were all alone instead of out on a street. She kissed him back happily, her lips meshing with his and her tongue even daring to taste his mouth ever so slightly. He was addictive, and Ava grinned when he pulled away, still holding her close. "Good, that's what I was going for." She teased, leaning close to kiss the corner of his mouth before she broke their embrace. Ava walked to the car and excitedly opened the door, sliding inside and letting the dogs mob her lap as she giggled. Being all romantic with Jae was great, but she couldn't do it for very long, or she just got nervous.
Her kiss to the corner of his mouth was unexpected, Jae sort of stood there, dumbfounded for a second or two, his arms no longer holding her, but the ghost of that thoughtful kiss lingered. How was it that this girl could invoke such stillness within him with just a touch? Jae turned, he watched as she laughed, and pet the puppies as they swarmed her. These were memories in the making, and he wouldn't take them for granted. Don't let it pass too quickly, he thought to himself as he rounded the car and put himself in the drivers seat. Bangtan Boys played softly through the speakers as he shifted the car into gear and began driving. "So, your teacher isn't too hard on you, is she?" Because Jae would take care of it, if she was. He wasn't about to have his girlfriend being abused, or told things that weren't healthy for her. The puppies were still on her side, Jae was glad that they werent' jumping on him while he was driving, that could be bad.
It took a couple minutes for Jae to get into the car beside her, making Aria a little nervous that he was upset with her. She still felt like she was walking on eggshells around Jae, because their relationship was so new. Was she supposed to be all lovey dovey?? Or should she try to keep her cool? She really wished he would just tell her, but for the meantime, she was alright with the distraction of the puppies. Lulu and Fiona were jumping all over her, licking her face and makings her smile grow five times in size. "Yeah I missed you guys too, honest." She said, patting their heads and scratching behind their ears. "No, she's not bad. She just knows how to make us work hard." Ava promised, glancing over at Jae "Our show is next weekend if you want to come, I can get you a seat with Aden and his girlfriend." She said, smiling over at him. She wasn't even sure if he'd be interested though. What if he hates just the idea of it???
They made turns and drove at a much slower pace than what Jae was accustomed to. Ava and the puppies were in the car though, and so he wasn't taking any risks. "I'll be there. What's your favorite flower? Is it a black tie event?" Jae wouldn't embarrass his girlfriend. No matter how much he might tease her and mock her, he did care about her and how others saw her. She could go places in the world with her connections alone, but if she didn't play by society rules, it could all end in a matter of seconds. Jae turned onto a street and parked near a doggie boutique, it looked expensive. But that didn't seem to intimidate the couple in the car. Jae turned the car off and turned in his seat to give Ava his full attention.
Ava let out a breath she didn't know she'd been holding, so he did want to come. That was a relief, since she would've been disappointed if he didn't even care to watch the show she'd been working so hard on. "Great!" She chirped, her face lighting up. "I like peonies, and yeah it is. Nothing crazy, but a suit is kind of the dress code for guys." She admitted, looking a little bit guilty at the thought of making him dress up for her. But Ava knew she would do the same for him in a heartbeat. Once they were in front of the store, Jae gave her his full attention, and Ava reached over to take his hand. "I know I'm being really weird and awkward right now and I'm really sorry, I've just never done the boyfriend thing so I really don't know how I'm supposed to act." She admitted, her eyes pleading with him. "Even right now I feel stupid because ever since we kissed by the tower I've been trying to act all cool but Jae I'm not cool at all! I'm just really nervous and scared to screw this up." She said, barely taking a breath the whole time.
She seemed quite thrilled with the prospect of him attending, Jae rubbed behind Fiona's ears as Ava went on. He was mentally going through his wardrobe, it made him think of something he needed to ask her. But he couldn't ask her yet, because she was kind of having a freak out moment. His eyes got a little wide as she admitted how she was feeling about things, he thought that she was doing well with it all. Apparently he'd gotten the wrong vibe? Jae took her hands, looking at her very seriously, he told her, "Ava, stop." Jae's facial expression was very serious, and intense for a moment, "You're doing fine. More than fine, this is a first for me too. I mean not the girlfriend thing really, but the serious girlfriend thing, having a relationship with someone I really care about. That isn't my best friend," Clearing his throat, Jae leaned in and put his face very close to Ava's, "You can't screw this up. Just be yourself, and go with what feels right, okay?"
Ava was on edge about Jae's response. What if he laughed at her and thought she was dumb for even mentioning it? Maybe there was an awkward period in every relationship, she wouldn't know. But when he spoke he was reassuring, and told her to do whatever she wanted, because she was what he was after in the first place. Ava grinned at that, the smile breaking out on her face and brightening up her eyes "Oh. Okay." She said, biting down on her lip for a moment while she looked at him. Finally she decided to swoop in and give him a big kiss, tongue included. She didn't know if she was any good at kissing, but Jae told her to be herself, so that's what she did. Her kiss didn't last very long though, and in just a moment she had lulu on a leash and was popping open her car door. "Come on! We have soooo much stuff to get." She chirped, sounding excited that the thought of shopping.
Jae kissed Ava back, their tongues touching a few times, it was obvious that Ava was new to this, but she wasn't bad at it, at all. He quite enjoyed her kiss, and the new feeling that came with being with her. She's a virgin, flashed through his mind, he pushed the thought away, that wasn't what he should be thinking about at that moment. Jae went after Ava, and put a leash on Fiona, leading the puppy after his girlfriend and Lulu. They entered a doggy boutique that looked more like Armani's. The two looked as natural going in though as anyone would. It was obvious that they didn't come from Cheap side. Jae put a hand up when a girl headed their way, he didn't want anyone helping them. The couple could pick out everything on their own, and he just wanted their time to be enjoyable, without interruption. Fiona tugged on her leash and made sounds as they walked, she was tugging towards some treats. "We'll get you some of those baby girl, just be patient," He cooed to the puppy, leaning down and rubbing a soothing palm against her fur. When he straightened he pointed to Ava's left side, "That looks like something we should look at," there was an aisle full dog beds.
Ava practically bounced into the store with her dog pulling her on the way. Lulu's tail was wagging and it made Ava giggle as they went together. "Oh Jae look at all the tags!" She chirped, pointing to a display that had shiny name tags on it, ready to be popped into te machine and layered with lulu and Fiona's names and addresses. She was thinking a crown or a heart for Lulu, but Jae would probably want a more practical bone or a circular tag. Typical Jae. She would at least make him get a pink one. He pointed out dog beds to her though, and that's when Ava's attention span became totally shot. "Oooooo cute!" She agreed, jogging over with Lulu in tow. Her green eyes scanned the beds and she let out a sigh. "Well I like a lot of them.... Do you think she'd like the gold or the purple??" She asked, pointing to two different beds, each big enough for a Saint Bernard, and far too big for her puppy.
The tags would be essential too, he supposed, though he had a feeling that he would be talked into something terrible with those. He successfully distracted his girlfriend with the beds though! Ava was soon leading the way towards the expensive beds, and pointing out beds that she could sleep in herself. Jae couldn't help but chuckle some, he took Ava's hand and pulled her a little ways down the aisle, "It think," He let her hand drop as he gestured to some other beds, "These are more our puppies size. Lulu would get lost in those over there. Look, this one has pink," He pointed to one that he thought she might look. Fiona was sniffing at a gold colored one, "Is that what you want?' He crouched to inspect the bed further, it had sheep lining, "What do you think babe?" Whoa, that was the first time he'd used a pet name.
A pout slid into Ava's face when Jae stared to pull her away from the larger dog beds. "But what if Lulu grows!! She could grow into it!" She insisted, but did take a minute to consider the smaller ones. They were cute, too, obviously, but she was really hoping to get a larger one. "What if I get a bigger one so Lulu and Fiona can share it when they're at my house?? I'll probably have to watch her for you sometimes, right?" She asked, hoping to convince Jae that the huge bed was necessary. Then he called her babe, and Ava was floored for a minute. She just stared for a good thirty seconds, trying to think of anyone had called her a nickname like that before, and came up blank. Babe had to be the best thing anyone's ever called her, though, because a grin broke out on her face while she looked at him. "It's definitely cute, babe." She said in a deep voice, hoping to mock him, just a little bit.
It was apparent that Ava really wanted the big bed, no matter how many cute other ones he showed her. She seemed to look at him for a minute though, just before she smiled at him really cutely, and then mocked him. Jae tried not to blush, because that just wasn't his style, "Yeah well we will get that one then." He picked up the bed, stood back up and put his hand on Ava's back, leading her back to the big beds. "Okay I'll make a deal with you, you can get one big bed for the two of them to share. But you have to get a smaller one too, for when Lulu feels lonely. The smaller one will make her feel more comfortable when you're not home," He wasn't sure if his argument would be valid with her, but it was worth a try. Jae's hand slipped from her back, to her waist, pulling her against his side.
((Omg they should go back to Ava's house and fall asleep on the dog bed w the dogs and Jack has a conniption while Celeste laughs))
He only seemed a little embarrassed from her teasing, which was just fine with Ava. She didn't actually want him to feel stupid, she loved her new nickname, and wished he would call her that every time he spoke to her. Babe was a couple name, a real one, even a little bit conventional, and it was perfect. His hand landed on her back and Ava shivered just a tad, trying not to overreact about his touch. What was she, a virgin? Ava gulped, but then pushed the thought away and snuggled against Jae's side. "I guess that's a good compromise. But I bet Lulu will like the bigger one even when Fiona isn't there. I think she likes her space, ya know?" She asked, plucking a pink dog bed the size of Jae's gold one off the shelves. She carried it in her hand with Lulu's leash, laying a kiss on Jae's cheek and whispered "Babe." In his ear. She just loved it. "What else do we need?" She asked, laying her head against him in a weak attempt to make him lead her around.

A huge dog bed and a smaller one were under one arm, and the other was wrapped around his girlfriends waist. Lulu and Fiona were completely lost as to what was happening, but content to be around their owners and each other. "We need to get them tags, and I want to order some engraved food and water bowls. But," He then led her towards to the counter, "We can leave a list here, and they can have it all delivered. I'm kind of wore out, and hungry. So maybe we can head back to your place to rest up some?" Jae was referring to a very innocent nap, and maybe some crackers and cheese. He was sure the pups were tired too, being out and about could be exhausting. Jae gave the cashier his card and left a list for the associate nearby, then took Ava by the hand and took her towards the car. A teenager carried the dogs beds and put them in the back for the young couple. Jar opened the passenger door for Ava and helped her and the pups inside. "Watch your feet babe," he told her with a smile, he closed the door and ran around to the drivers side.
Ava thought they would be going around the store for at least another half hour, but Jae had an idea that sounded much better. "Ooo yes let's do that!" She agreed, when he mentioned having the staff deliver all their things, so they didn't have to stay and pick them out. "Yeah we can watch some movies and just relax tonight." She promised, her smile sweet. Of course she was hoping they might kiss a little bit too, since kissing had to be the best thing humans had ever come up with. Jae walked her up to the counter and gave a boy a list "If you could try to get everything in either pink or gold that would be great." She said kindly, then walked out to the car with Jae. Her new house was only a five minute drive away, and they arrived shortly. "I'll get the babies if you grab the beds." She promised, kissing his cheeks before hopping out of the car with both leashes in her hand. They recognized where they were, and we're excited already. Ava giggled and unlocked the door quickly, pushing it open and letting the dogs run inside. "ADEN! Jae and me are down here!!" She called, knowing that he and his girlfriend would either be here or at her new dorm.
Jae was at ease as they drove only a few blocks to Ava's house, he didn't feel as nervous as he thought he should, and actually enjoyed their time in the car. The pair pulled up to the house, and he put the vehicle in park. As he unclicked his seatbelt he nodded to Ava, as she mentioned that she would get the dogs, his task was to get the doggy beds. He went to the back and grabbed the beds, closed the back, locked the car, and then headed in after Ava, who was yelling to her twin about their arrival. He heard a male voice call back from upstairs, but he didn't really understand what the response was since it was apparently from behind a closed door. Jae followed Ava, they were heading up said stairs, he thought he heard giggling down the hall. "Is Aden alone, or...?" He looked questioningly at Ava, a raised eyebrow following his words.
Ava heard her brothers muffled response and didn't worry any further, he was probably with Persephone in his room, she didn't want to know any more details of what they were doing. Just thinking that way made Ava blush though, seeing as she and Jae would also be alone, in her room, without anyone keeping an eye on them. She suddenly felt nervous that he would be expecting something to happen, something beyond cuddling or kissing how they usually did. But she took a deep breath as she opened the door to her room, letting the dogs off of their leashes and trying to relax. "No he's probably got Phe over. They're always together, either here or at her dorm. They don't separate much." She told him, smiling softly as the dogs hopped up onto her bed right away. Ava wasn't exactly sure what to do, she didn't want to move them, but also wasn't sure about where she and Jae would sit / lay. She turned her head towards her boyfriend, her blonde hair flying around her head "What do we do now?" She asked him, her brow perked.
Persephone was just about to get up. Sometimes she did that, snuck downstairs in her underwear to get a snack or a drink, then ran back upstairs. Aden did it too, it was sort of a game to them, trying not to get caught. She had her hand on the doorknob when she heard Ava's voice call upstairs, and she yelped and hopped back into Adens bed, crawling under his comforter and laughing softly "That would not have been a good situation." She whispered to her boyfriend, her blue eyes bright and happy as she spoke to him. Living in Paris with Aden was a dream. They went to school together and had dinner dates almost every night, and honestly they usually slept in the same bed at night, unless Adens parents were upset with him for his grades or something stupid like that. "I think it's your turn to get the snacks then." She muttered, poking his chest so she didn't have to wander downstairs with messy har and no clothes on.

The McCloud house was nothing like Jae's, it was warm and inviting. There were pictures of the McCloud family scattered not only on tables, but the walls as well, showing the love and affection they held for each other. Jae felt a pang of lonliness shoot through him, a feeling he usually kept well hidden, beneath a lot of mental cement. Just then he pushed it aside, he didn't want his thoughts to ruin what he and Ava had left of the day. They made their way into her bedroom, the pups made themselves at home immediately, Jae tossed the beds into a corner. The teen walked over to his girlfriend and wrapped his arms around her, settling his chin on her head, "Well we could watch a movie, maybe pop some popcorn? I'm sure the girls wouldn't mind watching 101 Dalmations? I have it on Amazon, if you let me put my account on your blue ray player," Jae was just trying to keep things as innocent as possible, there was no way he was taking things fast this time, especially not with Ava. He was her first, real boyfriend, he didn't want to screw it up, though he was pretty afraid he would in some way.
There were times when Aden didnt' think life could get any better, this was on of those times. Phe was walking towards the bedroom door, with barely a piece of cloth on her, and she looked pretty sexy like that, if he did say so himself. She jumped slightly though as his twin yelled up, signaling she was home. He couldn't help the chuckle that came out as she scurried back to his bed to hide. "Alright Ava," He hollered down in response, then snaking an arm around Persephone's waist, he drew her to him. "Hmm my turn huh?" He buried his face in the crook of her neck, laying small kisses there, the scent of his cologne clung to her skin, and he liked that. "I guess I could slip some shorts on and go down," Aden kissed her earlobe before sliding from his queen sized bed. Finding a pair of gym shorts, he pulled them on over his boxers, leaving his torso bare. "What do you want? Gummy worms? Cokes?" He would grab whatever she wanted, as long as it was in the pantry.
