Courtyard

Johnny was fast asleep, against a tree, sitting on a bunch of books he had stolen.

Vila May spotted Johnny asleep under a tree again but this time with some books she walked over to him "Johnny wake up where did you get the books?" She asked him loudly

Johnny woke up and looked up at her, yawning. "I uh...found them." He obviously lied.

Vila may just cocked and eyebrow and said "oh really"

He slowly shook his head. "No. I stole them. But they're mine, and I'm not giving them back."

"Fine I didn't care you stole them but don't get caught" she said sitting beside him "so what you get"

Johnny showed her the books and smiled, before taking an ice cream cone from a little girl walking by.

"Give it back Johnny" she said not looking up from the books

Johnny gave it back, and then started to shake with fear.

"You don't need to be scared your my friend I won't kick your butt unless you need it" she told him looking up briefly

He smiled up at her and hugged her. "Yay." He then pulled a few granny smith apples and some fish, out of his pocket, and smiled up at her. "I got lunch."

"Nice going Johnny" Vila May smiled grabbing an apple from him "can borrow this book" she asked holding one of them up for him to see

He nodded happily. "Sure." He then started to eat an apple.

"Thanks" she said taking a bite from the apple in her hand and opening the book and started reading "I have to pick a job soon but I don't know what to pick" she said to Johnny "got any ideas of what might be good for me?"

He thought for a bit. "Ummmm military?"

"Yea maybe, what are you going to chose when your old enough?" She asked him liking the idea of going in to the military.

"I wanna kill titans. I wanna be in the military." He said proudly.

"Well you will have to be very brave and strong" she told him "do you know how to fight yet?" She asked him taking one last bite of her apple and closing the book in her hand

He shook his head. "No."

"Want me to teach you?" She asked "I taught Tay when he was younger than you"

He nods. "Sure."

"All right stand up" she instructed him as she got to her feet and moved towards more the middle of the courtyard "copy me okay" she said standing in stance

Johnny stood up and did as he was told.

"You have to keep you arms up to defend yourself always try an keep one arm up and close to defend yourself when you are trying to throw a punch" she explained showing him what to do.

Johnny did as she told him.

A few hours later Vila May decided that Johnny had learnt enough for one day "you did well you'll be kicking butt in no time" she praised him before sitting back beneath the tree.

Johnny got scared. He saw something on the wall, and didn't like it. A few screams could be heard, then a titan's head rose up over the wall, and looked at the town.

Vila saw the Titans head and jumped up and sprinted to the walls.

Johnny saw the titan, and screamed.

Johnny ran after her, not wanting to be alone.
