Carol Arnold | 12 comments Can anyone tell me, please, just what qualifies a novel to be graphic?

Becky Brumley | 1 comments It has to do with the format of the book. A graphic novel is a novel written in comic book style.

Here's a link to the recommendations: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

AlegnaB † (alegnab) It doesn't have to be a novel. Here are some definitions:

Merriam-Webster.com: cartoon drawings that tell a story and are published as a book; a fictional story that is presented in comic-strip format and published as a book

Cambridge Dictionaries Online: a book containing a long story told mostly in pictures but with some writing

Oxford Dictionries online: A novel in comic-strip format.

Brittanica has a good article on it at Graphic Novel.

Carol Arnold | 12 comments Thanks so much! I didn't think a dictionary would have a definition since it is two word!
