Carole | 31 comments hey guys, i would like to ask a bit of help please!
ive been doing a jamie family tree on and off over the years, but for some reason i never took notice of the dates. so im wondering if any of you come across dates for birth/marriage/death while reading the series, would you mind posting it up here? it would help enormously, as i would like to get the thing finished rather than do an entire re read just for that.
I hope its ok to make a request such as this, but it is book related !

Merry Miller moon | 50 comments You might want to pick up a copy of the 'Outlandish Companion Part Two' it has a family tree for Jamie and Claire, I believe. It is on the inside front and back flaps of the book. That might help you.

Some hardcover copies of MOBY have a Mackenzie/Fraser/Randall family tree on the inside of the front and back pages, under the dust jacket.

Carole | 31 comments thanks for the idea ladies, i do have both the books. Im doing something much more in depth though, and was wanting to pick up all the stuff left off these trees!

On Facebook Karen Henry posts a lot of info about Outlander. She has compiled a timeline of births, deaths and other important events in the lives of Outlander characters which might be very helpful to you. Check out her FB page.

You may find her on CompuServe where Diana Gabaldon posts. Karen is sort of a semi-official poster about Outlander.

I looked her up and her blog can be found at:

The timeline may be in the archives but you can search or just contact her. I expect she would be glad to help you. She seems very friendly.

Carole | 31 comments okay you outlander beauties, second question, cos i know you are all as secretly avid about such inconsequential details as i am ....on page 233 of the first OC, we learn that the Leoch estates are inherited by a Jeremiah MacKenzie. do we know anything else about this - which Jeremiah it may be for instance?

We must have different editions.. My page 233 is between chapters. Could you tell me what chapter you are looking at? How far into the books are you? I wouldn't want my theory to be a spoiler.

Carole | 31 comments my mistake its page 223 ! don't worry about spoilers on my behalf, its all been read to death. :)

Judy (bigfootgal) Hmmm. I hadn't really thought about that before. When I first saw your note, I figured it would be Jem, Roger and Bri's son, but when I read the passage about the Jeremiah in question being a distant heir of Donald MacKenzie that seems to rule that out. At least I don't remember or find any indication that the clansman Dougal gave his son to was from Donald's line rather than Dougal's line as a descendant of Jacob MacKenzie. I'm not sure that Herself has given us any more information about Donald's line. Aside from her, the person who would know would be Karen Henry who runs a blog on all things Outlander both on FB and on CompuServe. If I can dig myself out of the paperwork I have to get done, perhaps I'll ask her about it - or, of course, you can.

Carole | 31 comments thanks for getting back to me Judy. yes little Jemmy was my first thought as well. there is nothing to say that Dougal and Donald are not closely related, but it still doesn't explain how Jem would be the one. I haven't come across anything else about Donald. maybe its just a red herring of course ! it may be too much to ask that Jem would be able to inherit, as well as Fergus and also Claire supposedly has some sort of ancestral claim. a very rich family with hardly two gold pieces to rub together lol
