So You Want To Be A Thriller Writer, A Discussion Group discussion

Anyone ever heard of Authors.me? Wasn't sure about the website because I haven't heard of it before. You can make a profile and upload your manuscript so publishers can discover your work. They also hold contests and right now there is a Thriller contest going on. The deadline is the end of this month.

If it’s new, I wouldn’t upload a ms.

“So publishers can discover” is a funny supposition, though.

No reputable publisher is looking for new material on an unknown website.

I agree, Pete, in fact, so many beautiful things are written in blogs for anyone and everyone; and many things are worthy to be published and sold.

Thank you both for the advice. I wasn't quite sure about it either. With all the sites out there claiming to help writers I'm never sure which ones I can trust and which ones I can't.

Kat, I find it hard to trust most things online ( and even in person).
