Megan Campbell An author that you should check out is Jennifer L. Armentrout. She writes with snippets from these genres, so it may be a good introduction for you rather than jumping straight in to the deep end. Her books do tend to be more on the romance side though.. so take from that what you will.

Otherwise some good options are
The Assassin's Curse
The Paper Magician
Stolen Songbird
Red Queen
Blythewood

These are all very 'light' versions of what you can find out there in those genres, but it is definitely a starting point.

She writes an amazing sci fi romance series called Lux. I have read them all mutiple times. Also a book series called Roswell High by Melinda Metz is also a good sci fi romance series. I'm currently reading I am number four first in the Lorien Legacies and so far this sci fi book is good too. I hope this helps you find some good sci fi books for you to get your feet wet. :-)

Iris Bratton (b-ratton) | 1 comments Ready Player One by Ernest Cline is a great sci-fi book.
Uprooted by Naomi Novik is a great fantasy book.
The Dark Days Club is a great paranormal book. Though it is from the YA genre, it's a good transition into the paranormal world.
