This book provides illustrations of the Cornish setting. Its manor houses, ruins, paths, views, towns related to the Poldark saga.

Cindy (claybakin247) I just received a copy of the new release (2015 edition) and I'm in the US so had to order it from a UK book seller because it's not available here yet. Amazon has it for pre order but I got it sooner AND for less from Abebooks.com. It's an absolutely gorgeous book with a lovely intro by Winston's son Andrew. I also got the original 1980s edition and the photos in the new edition are different and understandably nicer. The text is the same but the Publisher states they omitted sections that were in the first edition pertaining to the 1970s tv series. I've not looked thru it all yet (am savoring it like a piece of fine chocolate!) but I spied a photo of Aidan Turner's "Ross".

Thanks for the comparison! I have the latest version and only know it's different than the original because the description says so. I've read through mine and have made it a permanent part of my living room decor!

The book is called Poldark's Cornwall. It is available for pre-order through Amazon, with a date of Sept. 28 in the U.S. As Cindy mentioned, UK distributors have it already. She got hers from Abebooks.com, I got mine through bookdepository.com

Yes, I have that one too, it's beautiful. I bought a copy from Amazon several months ago, so am not sure what the "new" release is. My copy has a few photos from the new TV series. It's a wonderful companion piece to the books.

That just means it's the 2016 edition and not the 1989 edition.

Sonia Koonce | 85 comments The book I have, ( Winston Graham POLDARK'S Cornwall ) published 2015 by Macmillan. ( First published 1983 by The Bodley Head Limited ). This book has a short introduction by Andrew Graham. I was wondering if the new 2016 published book is any difference in it.

Yes - but - I have the new edition, not the 1989 edition. And I ordered and received it from Amazon in March 2016. So is there an edition more recent than that or did they just run out and have to re-publish?

That's what I was wondering too. I think maybe they just went out of stock quickly due to the popularity of the TV show and had to republish.
