What did you think of this book? Some things to consider: How would you describe the relationship between Anna and Stick and how does it alter over the course of the book? How does Anna view the bear?

I am reading - not finished. I feel like the five-year-old is really telling me the story. Well done so far.

I thought this was a great book, but not one for many juveniles as they may have difficulty following a 5-year-old's thought processes. I think Anna and Stick were a typical brother/sister. Anna was a smart girl. Obviously really listened to her parents when they spoke to her. She takes best care of him as she is able.
I imagined a sub-plot based on when mom and kids moved to the cottage for awhile, but was not disappointed that it wasn't there.
