We can read the same books and discuss them. Recommend books to each other. That's what the other groups do. Maybe we can think up something different?
All of us reading the same book and then discussing is great, but sometimes that can get in the way of reading books on your TBR. Maybe we could try something where one person gives a topic, and then we can all choose our own book to read about that topic. It's a bit hard to explain, but I think that was fine. Of course, we would all rotate turns for who gives the topic. Topics could be like "a New York Times best seller," or something like "a book with a corrupt government."
Whoops seems like I forgot an important part. After we all read the books, we can discuss why the book goes with that topic, if the topic allows. This idea can be modified to be better, but I just thought of this off the top of my head.

I think that would be better than picking one book since our group isn't limited to one genre like a lot of the other groups are.
What if we do some trades? People can say that "I just finished _____ and I'm in a reading slump/mourning period because of it. What's something like this that's really good?" and we can give suggestions based on the genre or author or something.

What do you think of marathons? Like a weekend where we try to read more than usual. And buddy readings? A topic where we share the next few books we are planning on reading and where we can find someone who has the same book. Then we could read it together and share our thoughts. And in this part I think the discussion should be outside the group since it would be only between 2 to 3 people. I don't know if I explained myself right.

Group/buddy reads are always a good idea because you can have themed ones or pick a different genre each time and you get to find out what others thought of the book
Group reads maybe for like a specific topic so we aren't limited to just one book and then discuss what book you read to the group and how it fit into that topic. So for example if we had to read a book with time travel we would read it then discuss with the group how it fits in to the time travel topic :)

Not sure if "games" is the right word.
Like, for example, someone mentions something from a book (title, character), and the person after mention something from a book that reminds them of what the person above said.
Or we all mention a book and a different book you would like if you liked that book.
Or someone shares a book cover and the person below judges the book by its cover.

Yes! Those all sound like a lot of fun. Let's make this happen.
Buddy read is a good idea. But since we all can't read one book, we can read one Genre at a time. Like for example if this month genre is fantasy where vampires are bad, then all members have to choose the book they have which best describe that genre. This way we can discuss about why we choose that book, and how is it different from others of same genre. And also from this we will have lots and lots of book recommendations. Make Sense ??
