Did you know All the Bright Places is going to be a movie? Jennifer Niven is personally writing the script right now!

My question to you is, if you have any actress/actor playing particular roles in the story, who would you assign? Who is your dream movie cast for this particular adaption?

Well, obviously Elle Fanning will get the nod in most people's minds because she is the only one actually cast so far for Violet. . .

If time and space were no issue, I would love to see Finch be played by Rob Lowe back in his Outsiders meets St. Elmo's Fire days.

I can actually see Jake Gyllenhaal from Donnie Darko taking on the role too and have Maggie be Finch's closet-case smoking big sister. . .

Or, since Elle is being cast as Violet, it would be cool to see Colin Ford (who starred opposite side her in We Bought A Zoo) be thrown into the role in a reversal type of way. Since in the Zoo film, it was Elle being the strange and attentive love interest and Colin was the brooding teen showing odd levels of resistance. But I do believe I saw Colin in the Under the Dome show a little older now and he may be better suited as one of the ass clown jocks that Violet is trying to steer away from. Ryan or Roamer more likely. . .

Curious to hear some other ideas

Of course, there is Elle Fanning. I would have also been able to imagine Chloe Grace Moretz as Violet too. And Finch could be a young Matt Barr playing him as well, in my mind.

I agree with Jeff though, Jake G could've done it as well.

I think Charlize Theoron could have played a good clueless mother while Seth Rogen could have played the dad who Finch dislikes so much.

As for Violet's caring parents, maybe Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal could've actually filled that role.
