I do a lot of thinking about Anne Boleyn in May. Smile - thinking that led me to explore Anne Boleyn's last days in my novel, The Light in the Labyrinth. While I did write it for the young adult reader, adults have enjoyed it, too. The Light in the Labyrinth
My other nomination is Cor Rotto: A Novel of Catherine Carey
The Colours of Our PetalsThe Life of Elizabeth I
I'd like to nominate "The colours of our petals" by Aled Davies
and "The life of Elizabeth the I" by Alison Weir.
Brief Gaudy Hour: A Novel of Anne Boleyn
I'm only going to nominate one this month because I was thinking about nominating Watch the Lady.
Is anyone interested in
Charles Brandon: Henry VIII's Closest Friend? Hilary Mantel wrote a review of it recently.
I think I will nominate Legacy, by Susan Kay.And that sounds like a good number of nominations, so I'll close them and start a poll.
And the poll is open! You can find it at the bottom of the group's main page, or here: https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/1... .
About halfway through the voting period, and In the Footsteps of the Six Wives of Henry VIII: The Visitor's Companion to the Palaces, Castles & Houses Associated with Henry VIII's Iconic Queens is in the lead with 15 votes, followed by Alison Weir's The Life of Elizabeth I, with 10.
The winner was In the Footsteps of the Six Wives of Henry VIII, and we will be discussing it here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... .
