Jackie | 82 comments I've already been pranked once today so no more April Fools for me! April's theme is Black Covers. Find a book that has a black cover: solid black, mostly black, patterned and black, whatever you want!

Check out these interesting lists for some ideas:

Books with a cover that has a black background
Books with Black and White covers
Great Books with Black Covers

Remember that once you've finished your book(s) for the month, you're always welcome to start a discussion topic in the month's folder (which works best if there are others in the group who have read or are currently reading the book in question) or post your thoughts (or just drop a link to your review!) in the thread below.

And don't forget to vote on the poll for May's theme, which will close a little earlier than usual. The poll for June's theme is now open!

Also, just as a heads up, I am getting married in two weeks (wow!) and will be on my honeymoon at the turn of the next month. Therefore, I will post May's discussion a little early (and therefore closing the poll a little early). Get those votes it!

Hannie (hannieblokzijl) Black House of Stephen King has a black cover. I have the hardcover and that's totally black. Altough there was a papercover around it. I don't know how that looks, because that got lost when I lent the book to someone.

Anne | 68 comments I'm reading Marnie by Winston Graham, which is mainly a black cover. Not an author I've read before but he wrote the Poldark novels so should be good. Marnie by Winston Graham

i really enjoyed this book, quite an unusual subject, can recommend it.

Sara | 57 comments Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

I finished Up From the Blue today, and I am going to read The Age of Orphans: A Novel in kindle as well.

If I am lucky enough, I will listen to In Cold Blood to make 3 books for this month theme. Let see if I can succeed :-)

message 6: by Silver (new)

Silver I plan to read Lowboy by John Wray for this theme. I will be out of town dealing with some stuff during this time. I will bring the book with me and hope I can get some reading done.

Kristell | 33 comments Is Angelfall a black cover or is it considered blue?

Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) by Susan Ee

Congratulations! I'm assuming you're either already married or really soon because that was about two weeks ago.

Jasmiina F (slipperbunny) I read A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess because I wanted to read a new classic for me. And it was pretty good, although it took me some time to get used to the language.
