Sage was involved in a car accident years ago where she got a scar alongside her face and she also lost her mother in the accident. She attends a grief counseling group where she meets Josef Webber, a man who is there to mourn his wife. Josef enlists Sage's help in his death. Death has escaped him many times and he feels that it is because of what he did during the Holocaust. I really liked this novel. It is a touching story that deals with something in the past brought up into modern days. It gives readers a side to both the victims and the Nazis during the Holocaust. This novel is good for anyone who likes stories by Picoult (My Sister's Keeper) or anyone who may be interested in learning more about the Holocaust.
