Bright Young Things discussion

I just watched the movie Suffragette (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3077214/?...). I think I prefer Iron Jawed Angels (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0338139/?...), but I did learn about some important women in the suffrage movement.

Has anyone else watched it? I was surprised by the ending, and I was wondering if some of our British members knew what was coming?

I haven't seen it. I looked at the parents' advisory and did note that the events that they warned against were true events and not something made up by the writers. Forced feeding, someone hurling themselves on a racetrack and being trampled, etc.

I did see Iron Jawed Angels some time ago. It was okay. And I think that was relatively truthful too.

It must be a new way of doing historical movies. They didn't used to stay very close to the truth.

I liked Iron Jawed Angels, minus the added romance bit. I haven't seen Suffragette yet, but really want to. Hopefully soon. :)
