Has anyone else watched it? I was surprised by the ending, and I was wondering if some of our British members knew what was coming?
I haven't seen it. I looked at the parents' advisory and did note that the events that they warned against were true events and not something made up by the writers. Forced feeding, someone hurling themselves on a racetrack and being trampled, etc. I did see Iron Jawed Angels some time ago. It was okay. And I think that was relatively truthful too.
It must be a new way of doing historical movies. They didn't used to stay very close to the truth.
