There are so many books becoming movies and series soon! The Maze Runner, The Fault in Our Stars, If I Stay, Mockingjay... so many more just in 2014! I've also heard the Uglies Series by Scott Westerfield is going to be turned into a TV series? I know almost nothing about it though! What adaptations are you guys looking forward to, and do you think they'll do the book justice?

The Shatter Me Series By; Tahereh Mafi

I've recently heard that the Shatter Me series was either to become a movie or TV show, and honestly, I'd rather it not. Sure I'd like it to get as much recognition as it should, but the reason I love the book so much isn't exactly the story, while it's good, it's the writing. I fell in love with the way Tahereh Mafi writes in this series, and I'm not too sure I want to see it attempted to be brought to the screen, television or movie wise. Her words and descriptions and just what she pens is what makes the book for me, and I'm not too happy with the thought that when it's created more so for a visual audience, they'll be missing what she's written. The story will still be there, but the words, descriptions and the heart wrenching words won't be. Thoughts?

I am SO looking forward to The Fault in Our Stars and The Maze Runner, but also Mockingjay of course?
And I hope they turn Heroes of Olympus into movies, but make them more accurate than PJO :)

Have they talked about turning HoO into movies? I know they aren't making The Titan's Curse. Hopefully an entirely new group of producers/writers/etc would pick it up instead!

I hear The Giver is being turned into a movie too. I remember reading it in middle school and thinking it was very interesting. I hope they do the book justice!

I'm really looking forward to The Giver movie, but I'm not sure if it's going to stay true to the book. For one thing it's in color which is like a big no no. Second they aged up the characters which is a little annoying.

Oh well, I can see why there won't be another PJO movie to be honest. :c

And doesn't The Giver come out in like August or September this year? I still need to read it (same goes with Shatter Me).

Yeah according to IMDB, The Giver comes out 15 August.
