Kiba smiled as he looked through some of the higher ups mail he was suppose to be delivering. Wondering at the stupidity of these aristocrats as they had all this technology at their fingertips, and yet still couldn't let go of primitive practices such as slavery and paper mail. Though it did make his job as a rebel a hell of a lot easier as he could just look through their mail and read their plans as the idiots never bothered to encode anything. Like for example, a shipment of infants to a noble family of werewolves who wanted to start hitting them young was only the first of many in his satchel. However, the fairy boy knew that reading mail that wasn't his would rouse superstition so he quickly put the letters away, though he did make a mental note to pay a visit to the baby shippers as soon as he could.
Nitori walked up the steps leading towards the large building resting at the very top. He'd been sent here to fetch a letter addressed to his master, whom seemed to be very cautious with allowing anyone else to handle his items. Nitori didn't mind this at all however, running as an errand boy was the very least he could do in return. As he was making his way towards the entrance, his eyes caught sight of a peculiar young boy standing on the other side, who by the look of his clothing, Nitori guessed to be the one in charge of handling letters. He approached him slowly, standing next to him, and watching him curiously.
"Oh hey, what I can I do for you," Kiba asked with a typical business smile. Though inwardly he was just thankful that he'dmanaged to put away the letters before the messanger slave could see him.
Nitori tilts his head slightly, gazing at him with an absent expression. He crouched down so that he was matching the boy's height, "Are you the delivery boy around here?" He asks.
"That I am, Kiba Wolfsong at your service," Kiba said with gusto as it looked like this guy clearly missed his morning coffee. "So what can I do for you?" He asked again.
"I'm supposed to pick up a letter. Do you have one addressed to 'Rei'?" Nitori asks, pointing to the pouch containing the letters.
Nitori nods and thanks him, slipping the letter into his back pocket. He stares at the boy silently, seeming to be in thought. He didn't really have anything better to do that day either. Tilting his head slightly, he asks, "Say, how old are you?"
"100, but in terms of physical maturity I'm twelve," the fairy boy answered him off handily. Though inwardly his guardian's had been raised as this slave seemed to be taking particular interest in him. Interest that could be dangerous if not handle correctly.
"That's a pretty amazing age difference.." Nitori commented, impressed. His facial expression didn't express it too excitedly however.
"Well, being a fairy and therefore nearly immortal I tend to ag e slowly," Kiba explians offhandly though inwardly he was making plans for attack or escape just in case he needed to on a moment's notice.
Nitori wasn't suspecting the boy at all, to him, he seemed pretty kind and innocent. "Hm, that makes sense. It must be pretty convenient." He said with interest.
"Actually, it's not as I've had many human friends over the years and each time I've had to watch them grow old in what to me is less than a blink of an eye, and unlike my higher up kin I can't bring myself to think of your kind as less than my own. So while immortality does have it's perks it also has it's downsides," Kiba admitted.
(( Sorry!! ))
Nitori perks up with interests, seeming surprised to hear this. "I see.. it must be tough watching people leave your life like that then. Your pretty kind." He murmurs.

"Yeah, I guess in a way it's my fatal flaw, being an immortal being who can't bring himself to look down on his fellows. Even if it would soften the blow as I saw them go," Kiba replied. "Still I couldn't live with myself if was to become detached. So I guess I'm stuck."
"It probably is seen as a flaw in society's eyes.. I think it's a positive thing. Recognizing others, respecting where they stand, that's not something very many with superior abilities like yourself have, but it's something a lot look for in their comrades. You could've made many good impacts on those people's lives." Nitori spoke, surprised at his tone. It was rare for him to say this much.
