Alex watched from a far corner, hidden in the shadows. His bright eyes scanning Leonora for any weak points that he might be able to one day exploit, if they were to ever fight. He was sent to watch the other. Closely. And while he respected Leonora's lineage he did not respect Leo as a person. For he didn't know him. But he wouldn't mind getting there. He sat back against the wall, watching him aimlessly fumble with a sword. He kind of looked like an idiot. And when they finally spoke he wouldn't hesitate to use that against the other. His hair had turned pitch black, as it usually was.

"Weak" his voice was dark, but not so much so that it could be considered a pure baritone. Alex folded his arms carefully, "How old are you, thousands, millions even, and you still can't use simple telekinesis" he teased the other, still not coming out from within the shadows.

He let out a small chuckle, "Well I do know one thing, anyone who uses the word "thwart" is truly compensating for something. Maybe it be their lack of power. Maybe it be their lack of... hmmm.. something else" he snickered perversely.

He rolled his eyes, walking out behind him, tilting his head as his eyes narrowed down at the other, "Mmm I believe there are plenty of things to over compensate for.. Tiny hands.. hm.. wonder what else is tiny" he teased.

Alex laughed and stepped foward, letting the sword cut into his neck before stepping back once more, blood slowly dripping down the pale white skin. "Alex" he said simply, "I'm your mentor." he added, smirking.

Alex laughed, doubling over and giggling to himself, "LOW CLASS?" He demanded, continuing to chuckle in amusement. "That's adorable. I am no low class, and I should punish you for even assuming that. I am your mentor, second most important member of the elder council. I. am. a. reaper" he said, voice turning cold and sharp.

Alex hummed, "Pride comes right before the fall" he said, smirking as he suddenly kicked him directly in the stomach, dropping him to the ground, "Literally" he giggled, "Get up. We're going to spar. I need to get a sense of your.. abilities" he said, narrowing his eyes sadistically down at the other. Hmmm... he could get used to being above him.

Alex laughed in delight and kicked the sword up, grabbing Leonora's wrist and throwing him to the ground, pinning him there, "Look at that~ I've got the upper hand, I could do anything I want to you" he teased.

Alex blinked, giggling a bit more and taking his pen out, clicking it and stabbing Leonora's claw. And just like that, the pen was sucking out a little bit of his soul. There was no doubt that it'd make the latter dizzy, woozy, disoriented.

He hummed, standing above him with a sinister grin, "Your defeat is absolutely delicious" he said creepily.

Alex let out a loud growl, falling to his knees, "THAT'S NOT FUCKING FAIR!" he shouted, hands trembling, eyes glowing bright.

Alex grunted, rubbing his eyes and glaring around, "Oh ho ho~" he giggled before standing and dusting himself off, "You've really pushed it now" he said, taking his pen out and clicking it, watching it transform into a full on scythe that was large than him. He pushed his blade into the ground, forcing himself into the air and using his advantage to scope out where Leo had gone.

Alex sensed his presence had gone, he furrowed his eyebrows, throwing himself to the ground, the scythe making a loud bang against the asphalt before reverting back into a pen. He sighed heavily, following the other.

Alex glared at him, "Coward." he said simply, folding his arms.

Alex narrowed his eyes, "You're afraid of me. That's why you ran away like a frightened child" he retorted.

Alex went deathly quiet, eyes beginning to glow like hot coals, "Lesser.. than... you..." he gritted his teeth, hands clenching into fists before he suddenly went into action, and within a split second he'd grabbed Leo by the collar, "YOU THINK JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN THROW DOWN A FEW SHITTY SANDSTORMS THAT YOU'RE ANY BETTER THAN ME?! I AM A GOD COMPARED TO THE LIKES OF YOU!" He threw him to the ground harshly, smiling and returning back to his normal state, dusting himself off and shrugging, "But everyone's entitled to their own opinions of course. Even if they're fucking wrong" he chuckled.

He rolled his eyes, "Yea, whatever. So besides looking pathetic and doing equally pathetic things, why are you here?" he questioned.

Alex raised an eyebrow, "Oh so that's what you call it?" he snickered, rolling his eyes, "Lovely" he teased.

Alex narrowed his eyes a little, smirking, "Oh? Well you weren't aware of my presence for some time, and I don't think you can call that practicing or training, or anything beneficial, I'm pretty sure you could just call that failing" he retorted.

Alex hummed faintly, "Yea. Mentoring your ass" he replied, licking his lips, "But I could probably do a lot of things to your ass that would be a little more fun" he teased.

Alex yawned, "Man you can't even win at being snarky. That was such a fail I'd be surprised if it didn't show up on some cringe compilation on youtube. Seriously, you couldn't even manage to be slick there?" He shrugged, "But I guess you're a failure at just about everything huh? Can't blame you for doing what youre the best at" he added.

Alex grunted, collapsing to his knees and snickering, "See, thaaat's what I'm talking about, I knew you weren't entirely pathetic" he said, head still down as he rubbed his cheek.

Alex grunted, falling to the ground before slowly standing and giggling quietly, "You're a real firebrand. I'll have fun for the next couple of months with you~" he said suggestively.

Alex easily followed, "That's cute. Please tell me more about how you have more authority than the elder council you naive child" he taunted.

Alex cleared his throat, "You are the newest member, which means you are being trained, which means you are of no authority yet, which means shut the fuck up" he replied.

Alex hummed and grabbed Leo's hand, pulling him forward, "First you will need a greater understanding of the four active natural forces of the earth. We'll start from the ground up. The first, is fire." he said, eyes suddenly going completely white as he forced the knowledge of flame into Leo, the sensation was just barely there. Tingles if you will, and then it was an all encompassing blaze, hot, furious.

"Stay still" He growled, glaring at him now, boring the knowledge into him. It was extremely intense, tiring, exhausting even. And once he'd finished he was panting quietly.

He blinked, surprised by the little sorry that had slipped from his lips. Strange. Foreign... intriguing. He furrowed his eyebrows, "Let's head back to your house. You'll need rest for another day before you can handle anymore knowledge" he said.

He glared at him, "Take me to your house or I'll make you feel like you're drowning" he said simply.

He stared forward at him blankly, really just about done with his shit.

He blinked, catching him and rolling his eyes before carrying him over his shoulder and walking towards his house after extracting knowledge from him.
