holland Oh my God so have you guys heard that they're making a movie called "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them"?! Well, the teaser trailer just came out yesterday (find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViuDs...)!! It's screen written by no other that J.K. Rowling, and it's about Newt Scamander (the author or Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them). It's set in the 1920's...in America!! Just go watch the video, guys. I'm so dang excited!!

AgCl oh yeah, nifflers and some mysterious moth thing called "swooping evil", expandable briefcases and there's a character whose last name is Goldstein (possibly related to Anthony Goldstein?)

I don't know if you've read JKR's backgrounder for North American Magic and the "other" major magical schools besides Hogwarts, Beauxbaton and Durmstrang. If you haven't here' are the pottermore links:

https://www.pottermore.com/writing-by...

They're kinda connected to the movie so it would be good to read them.

I don't..."

No, I haven't read them, or heard about them for that matter, thank you for telling me about them! I'm going to have to read them before I go see the movie.

NP, its not really tightly connected but it explains how north american wizarding world is different from the UK and most of Europe. Somehow it probably would explain why the American ministry of magic or the witches and wizards behave the way they do when we see the movie.
