Nicole R (drnicoler) | 8088 comments Today is one of my favorite holidays -- NORA ROBERTS RELEASE DAY!! Nora's new stand-alone novel The Obsession comes out today, and I will be making a stop at my local bookstore to pick up a copy.

Unfortunately, I cannot immediately dive in because it is law school finals time, but on May 1st I will read this cover to cover as my first official act of summer :)

Susie Happy day for you! I hope you love it when you get to it.

Olivermagnus (lynda11282) | 4948 comments I have this on hold at the library so I'm hoping to get it soon. I'm not too far down the list.

Nicole R (drnicoler) | 8088 comments Susie, I have no doubt I will love every word! :)

Nicole R (drnicoler) | 8088 comments Olivermagnus, Nora books are the only hardcovers I buy anymore. In fact, this will be the first one in years that is not a signed copy :(

I have purchased DTB of all her releases over the last 7!or 8 years and have them all on a single bookshelf in my living room. My friends find this wildly amusing and think it is slightly obsessive! lol

Jennifer Pope (jenjunum) | 902 comments A romance novel is the best way to usher in summer I think. I've only read one series of hers (Inn Boonsboro, which I had no idea was a real place until I read your review). If it weren't for that annoying ghost I would have liked it a lot more (and I like fantasy, it just seemed random).

I adored her Chesapeake series best of all!

Nicole R (drnicoler) | 8088 comments Ah, the Chesapeake series is my favorite....

HOLY COW I did NOT know that Inn Boonsboro was real?!! And Vesta Pizza, and Turn the Page Bookstore is real too?!?! Mind blown!!!! Next time I'm in Maryland I guess...

I plan on reading The Obsession eventually.

I really liked the Bride Quartet series. Maybe the Chesapeake series should be put on the TBR- seems to be crowd favorite.

Jennifer Pope (jenjunum) | 902 comments Chesapeake it is! I had never read her before and I never even realized she was romance. :/ I knew she was popular but prolific authors like her are hard to jump into (I think). Where to even start? I will try Chesapeake!

Nicole R (drnicoler) | 8088 comments Inn Boonsboro is a fun! I have been to Boonsboro for many book signings and stayed in the inn twice. I love it :)

I have been wanting to reread the Bride Quartet for several years now. I love those books too.

Nicole R (drnicoler) | 8088 comments Jennifer, the Chesapeake is a four book series. Well, worth it, but a commitment. Would you be more interested in reading one of her stand alone novels? I would be happy to recommend some!

Jennifer Pope (jenjunum) | 902 comments I read all the Boonsboro (almost in a row I think, all last year). But I will happily take recommendations from a connoisseur for any of her books.

Nicole R (drnicoler) | 8088 comments Ah, I thought this was going to be your foray into Nora! I miss understood. Please, go forth and read any and all Nora :)

Haha. I'm happy to take your recommendations. Especially for favorites (preferably without a friendly ghost--though obviously I didn't hate it because I still was curious enough to keep reading to find out how the other brothers got paired up).
