I'm glad this group has done at least one of these as a group read :)

Richard The presence of The Raw Shark Texts in any list of recommendations hurts my brain. That was one if the worst books I've encountered

For weird try the phenomenal Life: A User's Manual

Or I guess S. which I'm struggling and I think loosing the war with at the moment

Raw Shark Texts had a lot of potential, or so I thought, but ultimately let me down, too, Richard.

Thanks for posting the link, Ruby! I think I've read 5 or 6 of these.
I think Geek Love would be a great group read for Chaos. It's probably in my list of top 5 books ever. Not that I'm biased or anything. :p

What a great list. Read maybe four. So little in my library here. Like Delillo, I'd join in the current read, but don't have the book. Just finished his The Body Artist and am trying to decide how to comment on it. Wonderful, strange, beautiful, unexpected. Different for him, smaller setting, smaller cast, intimate. Well, I'm off-topic. But I am going to try to read from this great list. Thanks!

Jennifer | 33 comments I just didn't like The Wasp Factory, but I loved Geek Love and Annihilation

Stacia A friend showed me this list recently. It's a fabulous list.

I've read 15 of the books. Tried (& rejected) one. And, have read nine of other authors listed, but not the works listed there.

I love her short descriptions of the books! Perfection! Will definitely be adding more of these to my reading list.

Some of my favorites of the ones I've read:
Mr. Fox
Zeroville
The Story of My Teeth
Three Scenarios In Which Hana Sasaki Grows A Tail (& I don't normally like short stories but this is a great collection)
The 13½ Lives of Captain Bluebear

(And I actually liked The Raw Shark Texts.)

I found Mr. Fox enjoyable and was entertained by The Raw Shark Texts. Didn't love either but was glad I read both. Have you (or anybody else) read any other books by Steven Hall?

message 9: by Stacia (new)

Stacia I haven't tried any other books by Steven Hall.
