I read The Forest of Hands and Teeth a couple of months ago. I was a little disappointed in it for some reason, but that's just me. Someone else might love it. It's a zombie book which appears to me to be set in a post-apocolyptic time very far in the future, but everything has returned to medieval-era life (i.e. villages and rudimentary tools, etc.)
i saw this book once called Pride and Prejudice and Zombiesi dont know if it is about zombies but i thought that the name was quite funny
I know it's not technically zombies, but check out I Am Legend, which has been made into a movie three times. Or how about Frankenstein, the original zombie?
I just realized this thread exists! lol. I am NOT surprised! I am Legen is AMAZING and reeeeally creepy! Read this at night when you're allll alone!
I can't say I've read a lot of zombie books but I Am Legend is the next on my list. 28 Days Later is my fav. zombie flick though. :)
IMO the best zombie movies ever are the Resident Evil movies! Love love love them. :) And Night of the Comet is a great old school flick. Love love love it. :}
Lori you'd probably like the Resident Evil novels too then. I've read one of them (City of the Dead) and it was very good; really really scary! There are also other books that I really want to read in the future: As The World Dies The First Days A Zombie Trilogy, The Rising, Autumn, Monster Island, and Plague of the Dead.
Jo... Monster Island is a serial that you can read online, as well as the two sequel books, Monster Nation and Monster Planet.http://www.brokentype.com/monster/

One that is getting a fair amount of attention is Jonathan Maberry, his novel Patient Zero has been well received but I haven't read it yet.
