I have to say Tennant seems spot on as Crowley. Looking forward to this!
One of my friends is so excited about this that she's doing a cosplay of Crowley complete with moveable wings :DI agree with Bryan, Tennant seems perfect in the role. Although I generally think he's pretty amazing, no matter what he does!
I just finished finally reading Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch last night. I thought I'd better do it before the video came out, or I never would. (It was pretty funny.)
I hope they give it a bit more budget than a couple of the Discworld adaptations the BBC has done.

But it was published in 1990, making it a Classic. ( So, it's my plan to reject your nomination. ;) January Classic nominations are still open, so you've got to ask yourself, how much do you want a unicorn for Christmas?

I guess I should have checked that in advance, for some reason I assumed it would be a contemporary :) We'll see what gets nominated in Feb (I did promise someone if they nominated their their book in Feb I would vote for it, but if they don't I'll go with this one). I think the fact two of us nominated The Last Unicorn means it was just meant to be :o)
I expect I'll watch it but I'm always nervous when a book I love is adapted for tv or film. Neil Gaiman didn't really impress me with "Stardust", although I don't actually know how much say he had in the finished film. Perhaps I'm being unfair...

I'm a bit nervous for the show as well but Gaiman seems pretty excited with the actors and production so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Tennant will always be my Doctor but he and Michael Sheen seem perfect for Crowley and Aziraphale.
Well, Amazon dropped the series a couple of hours early today. I watched the first episode. It seemed faithful to the book, with a few updates for new technology in the last 20 years. It did strike me as less weird than I expected (but maybe that comes from being familiar with the book?)
Watched the first 2 episodes and get the same feeling that everything involving the Witch should have been cut from the show as well as the book. It does seem like the show is going to force Anathema into the main plot, which is something the book failed to do.
Well, I found the middle episodes, which had new material from the book, quite funny (possibly because a lot of the humor wasn't familiar.) The last episode gets a little too hung up on wrapping up plot, but oh well.
