Rice Without Rain focuses on many aspects of students protests in Bangkok. The novel mainly focuses on Jinda a young village girl. Jinda comes across some students who want to learn more about her lifestyle in a village. Upon meeting these students the villagers takes stands against unjust treatment. Jinda follows Ned to a student protests and learns a lot about herself and the protesting. I really liked the book, it was very informative and a smooth read. I would recommend this book for anyone who would like something that is informative but not a hard read.
