"I'll be with mother tonight!" were the final words shouted by John "Jack" Gilbert Graham as he walked to the gas chamber on January 11, 1957.

The Story Behind the Words:
•The Crime: Graham placed a dynamite bomb in his mother's suitcase aboard United Airlines Flight 629 on November 1, 1955.
•The Motive: He wanted to kill his mother, Daisie King, to collect life insurance money and inherit her estate.
•The Toll: The explosion killed all 44 passengers and crew members on board the airplane.
•The Execution: Graham was convicted of murder, sentenced to death, and executed at the Colorado State Penitentiary, where he made his grim final statement referencing his mother.
