SA Dar | 10 comments I'm just about done, 4 chapters left. It's interesting so far, a nice twist on the classic beauty and the beast....

SA Dar | 10 comments Ok, just finished with the book. I have to say that the romance was quite epic, what really bothered me was some of the descriptive scenes in the book, I couldn't get my mind to make imagery of some of the descriptions, especially the last part of the book when the Queen summons some evil force. Other than that the plot was pretty okay, each of the characters had depth and could be some what related to. Aside from the two main characters I really like Anhuset. I may start on the next book if I can find a digital copy.

Xee (xeey) | 6 comments The cover is so not worthy of the story. I read this some time back and surprised myself by falling in love with it. I love my pnrs but the cover made me think it would be a badly written blah blah mess with shoddy characterization etc etc .
What I got instead was the kind of slow burn love story that good romances are made off. No 'beautiful' (per each species)people falling for each other, was refreshing and written so dang well.
The next book is on my tbr, so hopefully soon..

SA Dar | 10 comments Zuray, you totally spoke my mind, I was a little "iffy" with reading the book because of the cover. I guess once again the ageless quote never judge a book by its cover comes in play here. I just wish the artwork could have done more justice to the book. Still looking for a digital copy for the sequel...

Elle (elleclouse) | 2 comments I loved this book. I got it in ebook first then turned around and bought the paperback.

I loved the descriptions of the characters and Brishen's observances of their difference. Like how he couldn't chew his lips like Ildiko. I also liked how he wasn't high handed with her, even though it was an arranged marriage he still respects her wishes and their love grows slowly over time and not out of some stockholmy like situation. ;)

I bought book 2 as soon as it came out in paperback. I'm a dork.
