Ashley Richardson this book is about a little girl who shares a special bond with her grandparents. However, along side the bond she shares with her grandparents she also share it with a part of their house - the kitchen window placed on the front of the home. The author explains this window as the magic gateway that promotes every action around the special window through out the book. I like this book because it demonstrates the true nature of childhood and the special bond between grandchildren and their grandparents. On every page is a journey through the eyes of a young child and her days in which she spends with her grandparents allowing her creativity to come to life. This book can be used in a classroom because it is one of very few books that promotes mixed families. This book can also e used in a classroom to promote creativity in young children.
