I did it! I finally read a book for this month's tag! I'm so happy and proud of myself, lol.

Anyway, Emmy and Oliver are next door neighbors. They've been friends since birth until Oliver is kidnapped by his dad during the second grade. For ten years, the community wonders where Oliver is and if he's still alive. Then, he's found and returns. His return throws everyone's life into chaos, especially Emmy's and his.

Emmy & Oliver was not only a fun YA romance, but it also tackled some pretty heavy topics. I found myself crying a few times during my read because the emotions were so well done. It definitely added to the overall depth of the story and my enjoyment. I had a hard time putting Emmy & Oliver down. This is my first Robin Benway novel and now I look forward to reading others.
