Cole walked in and sighed, sitting down, "That is for the date. It was lovely. "

Michael walked in and sat down as well. "I agree it was very nice. I wish to thank you for the company. And I will be going now. Oh You can keep the cheese and bread if you wish. I don't have any place to keep it at my place.I really enjoyed tonight Cole and would like to see you again sometime .That is if you wish to see me again."Michael stood up and prepared to leave.

Cole hesitated, "You can stay the night if you wish.

Michael turned and gave Cole a questioning look. "You just met me,are you sure about that? "Michael walked back over to Cole and cupped her face. "I will on one condition. I sleep with my jeans on.At least our first night together."Michael removed his coat and shirt ,draping them over a chair.Then he sat down by Cole,putting his arm around her.

Cole whimpered, "You don't have to. " she said and kissed him lightly.

Michael returned the kiss a little more passionately then he had wanted to.This girl was driving him insane with desire. He wanted her,but yet he wished to hold back because he didn't wish her to think that was all he wanted. "Cole,"he whispered low,his voice taking on a somewhat soothing tone." I desire you very much,and would love to make love to you,but now is not the right time. Let's just spend this night in each others arms and see where it leads alright."Michael stroked Cole's face softly then down her body.

She sighed, "Okay..."

Michael lifted her chin."Why so disappointed? I don't understand. Do you really wish for me to take you tonight?Please don't think that if we make love that I will never come back . That is not me. Making love is special to me. If you are really ready,and it is what you really want,Cole I am more than willing and I truly desire to make love to you tonight.?Michael leaned in to kiss Cole again with the desire in his heart this time as his hands caressed her.

She nodded, "We live in a world where we don't know if we'll see the sun again. " she whispered, "Every moment could be your last. "

Michael nodded. " Where is your bed?"He picked her up to carry her to it .

She nodded at the matress on the floor, "I'm sorry it's not much..."

Michael smiled. "Hey I sleep on one too. "He laid her gently on the mattress ,then laid down beside her.Kissing her lightly,he gazed at her for a few minutes before taking her hand and placing it on his hip."I think I might need some help with these jeans."Reaching behind them he pulled a blanket over them."Don't worry I will take it nice and slow."

Cole grinned at him and suddenly, there was a click of handcuffs being attached to a pipe on the wall. Cole got up and dressed, Michael unable to move. She looked down at him, "You killed my brother. "

Michael pulled at the cuffs."What the f**k are you talking about? I don't even know you or your brother so how could I have killed him. You show up out of nowhere,agree to go out with me, sleep with me,now you are accusing me of killing your brother.That is rich.What's next? I kill your whole family? I sincerely doubt it sweet cheeks."Michael continued to pull on the cuffs.His anger building and his unhuman side becoming enraged making him stronger.

Cole kept eye contact, "He was a soldior like you, and you tortured him. " she growled.

Michael racked his brain. He was coming up blank."Look I was a special ops. We did what we were ordered to do. You think I liked what I did! I have nightmares of a child that got killed because of a raid we had to complete before moving onto the next operation.I lost my best friend in that raid. A soldier knows that any day he could die either in battle or at the hand of the enemy as a prisoner. your brother knew that and so did I.Doesn't mean we wanted to do it or liked it.Just means we had to obey orders."Michael could hear the metal straining against his wrists as he pulled . He could feel wetness running down his hands, thinking it was probably blood from him working the cuffs.

Cole shook her head, "He was all I had. "

Michael's face softened."I am sorry. I did what I had to do." Suddenly a memory came back a Michael had a picture of a young soldier they had interrogated who had given information to the enemy. They had to torture him to get anything out of him. He had died from their administrations but he had been a spy for the enemy."I remember your brother now and he wasn't as innocent as you think he was. He had been spying for the enemy and had gotten caught and it was our job to find out just what he had told them . He would rather die then give up his sources he told us."Michael stared at Cole his eyes black as night ,his wrists bending the metal on the cuffs to the breaking point.

Cole looked down at him, "He did it because they had me. "

Michael looked at Cole. His mind was swimming. He remembered right before he died the soldier mumbled something about a sister,but none of them took him seriously."Alright tell me the truth is that really how you lost your legs.I know the enemy of which we speak. And that was one of their signatures.They believed in maiming their prisoners so they could not escape."At that point the metal on his wrists snapped.He had been leaving his ankles alone as she could see them,he left his hands behind him right now waiting.

"Yes. That's how I lost them. " she looked him over, "Goodbye. " she began walking out.

Michael reached around and grabbed her wrist. "Just going to leave me like this huh. Sorry sweet cheeks ain't happening."He snapped the ones on his ankles and stood up even though he wasn't dressed. Still holding her arm he put his jeans on with his other hand . "See in the military you learn how to do a lot of things one handed.Especially if you opponent thinks they have you.Now about you leaving.."He took her arm and put it behind her and pulled her to the couch . tossing her on it he stood in front of her. " I think I will be going instead." Michael grabbed his coat and shirt and ran out the door,also grabbing her car keys.

She watched him go.

Michael sat in his basement looking at his sketches and wondered what ever happened to the girl in them. He had one awesome night ,then woke up to a nightmare . Sighing he tossed the sketches aside and started cleaning his gun.

Cole knocked at the door and opened it, "Please don't kill me... I need to tell you something. "

((okay first who's door is she knocking on before I continue. I don't want to rp the wrong character.))

Michael shrugged but held onto his gun." Go ahead.I have nothing else to do anyway."He sat back down and watched her as she came in.It had been awhile since he had seen Cole and now she seemed anxious.

She shuffled nervously, ''Im going to have a baby..."

Michael's jaw dropped then he shut it. He let out a long breath.Putting his gun away he stood up and started pacing."So that night,when we ..um yea ..you are saying ..I am going to be ..wow .." Michael ran his hands through his hair and still paced."When are you due?"

She lifted her shirt showing the bump, "Four months. "

Michael reached out his hand and tenderly touched her belly.His fingers barely grazed her skin.A single tear fell down his cheek."You do not realize what you have in there. I am not completely human like you. Unfortunately half my humanity was taken from me a while ago.I should have told you before we made love,but the moment was so perfect and I didn't wish to wake up from such a beautiful dream."Michael pulled Cole into his arms and held her close. "I should have stayed,even though you hated me,I should have stayed with you."

She let him hold her a moment before moving away, "It's fine. I went to a make shift hospital. I knew about your stuff and got it looked at. The baby is fine. She is just more likely to be stronger and faster, but no meat lust.

Michael dropped his arms . "So what do you wish from me.Obviously it seems you can take care of yourself. I am not meaning that in a bad way. It is just seems like you don't want me to get too close to you is all. Do you still hate me that much? Look I am sorry for what happened but we now have a child together and well I intend to be a part of my daughter's life." Michael sat down and drew his legs up,wrapping his arms around his knees.

She sat down with him, struggling slightly, "I never thought I'd be able to have kids, and when I found out I didn't know what to do, but now I've been given the chance, I want my kids to have a father. "

Michael looked at her with questions in his eyes."Kids? As in more than one?You planning on having another baby with me?Or are you carrying twins ?Let's settle this right now sweet cheeks,if I am going to father anymore kids I want it to be proper. Not you living one place and me living here in this dump.First of all neither place is good for children.We need to find a place where we can keep them safe and we can stay as well.Unless of course you have other plans."Michael pulled out his sketch pad and began sketching a layout of a house.

She nodded, "I'm moving to a sunny part of the country. "

Michael gave Cole a strange look. "There is such a place? Cole I don't know if you have noticed but our world is pretty much desolated. Ever since the virus I have not seen any area that looks ..well livable for lack of a better term.If you know of such a place I would love for you to show it to me."He put his sketch pad down and pull out a map of the surrounding areas.

She struggled up again, "Navada. The desert took over Vegas but because of how hot it is zombies don't go there. And then there is the Amazon which is too hot. "

Michael looked at his map and located Nevada . "That would be a pretty long trip in your condition. Good thing you have a car. How much fuel do you have ? I mean I have some stockpiled here ,but nowhere near enough to make it to Nevada.I have plenty of medical supplies,but I need to leave a majority of them here for my brother and his wife for their family.If you know about me then you know that I was not only a soldier but also a medic so if you go into labor while we are on the road I can deal with it."Michael's mind buzzed with all the things they would need for this trip .

Cole sighed, "No Michael, I'm going alone. "

Michael gripped the map with his fist . "Then why come and tell me anything at all. You say you wanted your kids to have a father but yet you are going somewhere alone and leaving me here. So how am I supposed to be their father long distance? And why do I keep saying they? You are only having one baby correct?Michael started pacing again, the beast inside of him straining to come out.

She nodded, "Yes. One baby. " she replied and turned around, "I don't know why I to!d you, it was stupid. " she started walking out.

Michael grabbed Cole's arm."Maybe you told me because you really didn't want to do this alone. I know when Sia had her baby the first time she wanted Angel with her. He didn't know what to do but he was there . I think you want the same thing,at least I hope you do."Michael loosened his grip a little and his eyes also softened.

"Of course I don't want to do this alone! but I have to..."

Michael pulled her back to him."Why? When I am willing to go with you and help you?Or is there some reason or someone that is preventing you from letting me do just that?"Michael stared into Cole's eyes.

She sighed, "Look at you, you can't be a father "

Michael looked hurt."What makes you say that? You want to know something. This isn't the first time, I almost was a father before you.Only she died from cancer before the baby could be born.I love my niece and nephews more than my life and would do anything for them. If you wish to go then go, I won't stop you. Understand though, I am here and will be if you need me.And I will always be there for our baby girl.Now go before I change my mind"Michael turned his face and looked at the wall after letting her go.

She looked one last time, "She's going to be called Lilo. " Cole said and then walked out.

Michael nodded and watched her leave. He waited for several moments then he pulled out the map and made plans on how to get to Nevada on foot. It would be a long trek but dammit it was his daughter too,and he was going to be there for her even if Cole was too stubborn to let him . He packed his back pack with all his essentials,got his weapons ready, left a letter for Angel and settled down to sleep. He would need all the rest he could get to make this trip.He would leave at first light.
