Christopher (chrisrow83) May's Main book of the month. This is a completed trilogy so I'm going to go ahead and put up a poll for whether it should be continued into June.

Happy reading!

Simon Welsh | 25 comments Probably about 1/5 through. It's not that long a book (in the lingering shadow of Swan Song ha ha).
It's really enjoyable, intriguing. Both the premise and the last detectives dealings.

Rose | 79 comments I'm almost finished book 3. I really like Henry (Hank) Palace.
I'd say he's dedicated to his job, but really being a detective is his dream job, and just because an asteroid is hurtling towards Earth, that's not a good reason to give up on your dream.
I liked how the Gov't put some policies in place to keep life from spiraling out of control. Who knows if that would happen in reality.

I just started this last night and I really liked it. Are the other books as good? Because I have a feeling I am going to want to read the whole set.

Rose | 79 comments I gave the first one three stars. The other two got four stars. You will most definitely want to read the next two.

Yes Rose - I finished last night and I definitely want to continue the series!

Here is my review:
Review I enjoyed this - it was a quick read. I wondered ...how is this dystopian, it seems PRE-apocalyptic, but as the book went on and more and more laws were passed restricting things - and WHAT is up with the government? Is his sister Nico a total nutjob, or is she on to something? Now I will just HAVE to read the rest of the series.

Rose | 79 comments Nico plays a much larger role as the story progresses. As for the Gov't, well as you can imagine in any impending apocalyptic scenario, everything goes to crap fairly quickly. I was surprised there was so much societal structure in the first one. It doesn't last.

I don't consider this to be dystopian. It's apocalyptic through and through.
