Usually for a love story there's 1 person who pursues the other, but it doesn't seem to play out like that which is why it doesn't make sense..

Maybe we think that Jamie liked him because we don't often hear or read about people being so kind to one-another so when these kind of people meet other people who are other gender or people that don't deserve this type of kindness we misunderstand!

Good question, not sure about that.
She sure seemed to like him more than he deserved, but that was Jamie for you, she probably liked everybody more than they deserved.

Yeah I believe she did, it makes more sense that way since someone has to initiate and it looks like it was her.

Nah, he liked her first. She wasn't really in a place in her life that could think of people that way.
