Her name is Welsh, don't know if anything else is. I'll be mis-pronouncing her name. That's all I'm saying!

Daniel Millard I'm out this month. The combination of the book being less easy to find, outside my typical area of interest, and being in the middle of other reading projects made it an easy choice, but I'm interested to read what folks have to say about this one. Prydain has left me with a high estimation of Welsh fiction.

Amy Sanderson | 129 comments I'm really hoping to get to this one during May. I made the mistake of starting too many books at once and now have a bit of a backlog, but I've wanted to read The Rook for ages!

Incidentally, it's on sale with Kobo at the moment, and also in Kindle Unlimited, but I suspect both of those only apply to the UK right now. Seems rather pricier in the US. It also looks like the sequel is released in a month, but only the ebook; there's a wait of several months for the hardback.

Andrea Montague It happens I just read this book for my local science fiction book club. I really liked it, I'm looking forward to the sequel coming out next month. I both read the hardback and listened to the audiobook, which was read by the same reader who did the Thursday Next series audiobooks.

Brenda ╰☆╮ (brnda) | 1494 comments Yeah..$9.99 on USA kindle.

Andrea Montague If anyone has access to the library service Hoopla, you can borrow the audiobook for free.

Daniel Millard All good points. I'm an old-fashioned hardcopy reader, I guess I should have clarified. :)

Grace (allthatisgold) | 20 comments I'm in. It's something different from what I usually read. Hoping that's a good thing.

Margret Just noticed that it's on Hoopla too :) so I can likely fit this in due to it being an audiobook

Scott Hitchcock (lostinthewarrenofchaos) | 443 comments I'm 11% in and it's been fantastic so far.

Joshua Carlsen I'm in... I have read it before but I will re-read it for this event.

Jenna Kathleen (jennakathleen) I read it a couple months ago so I'm out, but I'll pop in for discussion.

I'm already about 25%. I bought this is 2013 So I'm glad to read it. I'm enjoying it too, although I keep reading 'Myfanwy gr Miffany' every time I see the name. Why not stick with the proper pronunciation?

Joshua Carlsen I did the same thing Helen. I finally just gave up.

Scott Hitchcock (lostinthewarrenofchaos) | 443 comments I'm already 20% done and really liking it. Good timing with part two coming out in June.
