Rey Collazo | 3 comments Howdy all. Trying to recall a british historical mystery set in England round 1700 maybe earlier. It was available on the Greater Phoenix Digital Library web site but I can't find it.

Author's name was Chris North maybe...What I do recall is that the first book I read of the series was of a woman's head in outline with a blue ribbon on her throat.

Main character is the sheriff named I believe Richard.

This might be the right group to ask.

Thanks,
Rey

Sorry, nothing comes to mind.

You could also ask in the What's the Name of That Book??? group. You may reach more readers there.

Miss M | 13 comments Maybe Chris Nickson's Richard Nottingham series? It does have a cover like you describe, just not on Goodreads. Sometimes authors/publishers use their librarian privileges to remove older covers, even though they're not supposed to...
The Broken Token

Anyway, you can see the blue cover on Amazon:

Thanks for the suggestion. Basically a lurker here. BTW, a Miss M replied and provided the author and series and I immediately recognized it and it was Chris Nickson's Richard Nottingham series.
Thanks again, Rey

Miss M | 13 comments It was the cover description that did it - once you've seen it, it's very distinctive!

Rey, glad you found it again. : )
