My new travelling audible. Grateful for the chance to try both of our monthly selections.

Now @ 19 % - too early to tell if I like the book, but the concept is intriguing.

My review is now up on my read shelf & amongst the community reviews for Disclaimer. P. D. James or Helen Fitzgerald would have handled this story so so much better.

I agree with what has been written about "Disclaimer" but
I also couldn't put it down until I knew what happened and
how it resolved. And it was never clear WHY Stephen believed Catherine's version. Based on some porn mags /tapes he
found in his son's bedroom? Because she was "believable"?
The relationships between the various characters didn't ring true to me; Robert immediately believing the very worst about his wife, for one. Also, even if my grown son was a slacker, well, most Mom's would love their kid anyway, and even accept them
for who they are. Instead Nick was portrayed as a caricature
of the unloveable deadbeat kid.

Disclaimer was an unusual book because there was no murder, it was purely a psychological thriller.

I didnt like Catherine, but when I found out what happened that night I understand why she was cold to Nicholas. I thought Robert's
reaction to the photos was terrible. Although they looked comprising he should of talked to Catherine instead of upping and leaving.

I like Stephen Brigstoff although deeply depressed and still grieving for his wife, when discovered the truth about Jonathan he did show remorse for his actions.
