Hi, my lovely bookworms!

It's the first of May and that means it's time for us to start our next book club read! Based on the poll results, this month we will be reading and discussing Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult. This book was chosen based on our Mother's Day/Mother-Daughter theme.

In this discussion board you can talk about the book more generally (i.e. Did you enjoy it? Character thoughts? Problems with the plot? Problems with the pace of the novel? etc.). Additionally, since we are reading based on a theme this month, it would be nice to have discussions that focus on the relationship between mother and daughter. Though, feel free to discuss whatever you'd like.

As with Passenger, I will create weekly discussion threads for those of you that like to discuss books comprehensively.

Can't wait to talk with y'all! :) <3

Morgan (mnoel) I'm going to be honest here, I've had an emotional rollcercoaster of a month so far and haven't had a chance to read a single book!

Mary (meinreno) | 11 comments I found this book one of her best. I did get a little tired of the elephant reference not understanding what it all meant until I got to the end. Wow!

Mary (meinreno) | 11 comments Hope your June is better. Keep the faith.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had a difficult month. I can totally relate. Sending positive vibes your way. <3

Truthfully, I started to read it, but I've been so distracted and I haven't been able to get far into it. I'm hoping to finish it this weekend, though!

Interesting. I'm not far into it, but I can't wait to understand the elephant reference!

Mary (meinreno) | 11 comments I hope everyone is busy reading and that is why not many posts.

Jenna Neil | 1 comments Ok, I have been so entwined with reading this book and I just finished it! Although, I am still a bit confused on a few things...why did Virgil kill himself. He said he tried to kill himself because he couldn't handle the fact that he just up and quite the case of the missing person (i.e. Alice) but in reality did he kill himself because he couldn't find 'Jenna'?! and how did Virgil 'talk' to the person at the farmers market? Please help me if you can! It's driving me nuts!

Did Thomas know what happened at all the night that the murders happened or no since he was so out of it and sick?
