Mina's House
Mina dropped him on the bed, panting heavy, having lugged him all the way here. "My house" she hissed, glancing around, rolling her eyes.
"Okay?" she replied carelessly, setting a glass of water beside him before pulling her jacket off. She wore a sleeveless white shirt and a pair of denim shorts. Which meant that she wasn't into construction, like many of the kinetics were. And she also didn't seem to look as tattered as the other low levels. Probably meaning she was in a class. She kicked at her punching bag, throwing a few moves down.
"you dont get it, do you lady? if people see my face, its either out of context, or the last time." Kuro explained, starting to get up
Mina rolled her eyes, "Okay?" she grumbled, "What does it matter, it's not like I'm going to go around like a giddy schoolgirl and tell people what you look like" she growled.
he turned to her and said "why? i kill people, and the peacemakers or keepers or whatever are after me, why wouldnt you turn me in?" he asked
Mina sighed heavily, pulling a badge out of her pocket. It was a picture of some kind of flower, white, but a single drop of blood dripped downwards. It was the Chaos Clan symbol. "I'm not clean either. No one down here is. I kill people all the time. It's part of surviving" she responded coldly.
Kuro narrowed his eyes at the badge, before widening them and exclaiming softly "Chaos." He laid back on the bed and murmured "i used to be volken, y'know"
Mina nodded slowly, shrugging a bit. Even when she looked over at him, it seemed she wasn't directly looking at him. In all actuality, she hadn't seen his face.. because she couldn't see at all. She was blind. "Did I fuck up your face?" she questioned, continuing to hit and kick at the punching bag.
Mina thought for a moment, "Bathroom." she said. I think she thought. She'd never actually seen herself. And she didn't know what mirrors looked like. But she'd only assumed one would be appropriate in the bathroom. "I apologize for attacking you. I'll make tea" she murmured.
"Thanks" he said. He started to get up but winced. he started again but was successful, he started making his way towards the restroom. He looked deeply at his now broken nose
Mina started the tea, using her hands and sense of smell (which was far greater than most), to navigate around the kitchen. Though she looked pretty normal as she worked.
Mina glanced at him, sensing his presence, "You're leaving so soon. Not even going to tell me about that target you hit?" she questioned monotonously.
"I dont ask questions, i just need a target, and a location. i find the rest out on my own." He grabbed his spectre and his camera, but couldnt find the photo
Mina furrowed her eyebrows, pouring the tea calmly, "Your nose is broken." she suddenly muttered blankly.
"DAMNIT!" he shouted... "Theres dna at the crime scene. The photos there too." He started heading towards the door.
Mina furrowed her eyebrows and walked up to her table, pulling the photos out of her bag, "These ones right? The ones you took?" she questioned blankly.
"Yes those, but they dont matter, theyll trace the blood back to the Cage... i have to burn it, take the money, start over, new name-" he began to ramble
Mina sighed heavily, taking her laptop out, "What's your name" she grumbled as she began chatting with Frey, turning her camera on.
Mina sighed, "You heard that correct?" She muttered. Another voice could be heard. Childlike, yet somehow articulated and very mature. Maybe even a little mischievous. "And you want me to wipe him?" Frey replied. Mina stared forward, and in the light of the computer screen, her eyes that had been bright lavender when fighting, were crystal clear now. "Yes" she muttered.
"... god damnit, this is what i get for trusting someone. Lady, if you get close to me-" he held up his spectre and hip aimed it at her"- lets just says youll be a beautiful picture."
Mina stood, slamming her laptop closed suddenly and glaring at him coldly. "Don't worry. You aren't worth getting close to you." she growled dangerously. "I'm just being nice because I broke your nose. Don't think we're at a mutual level of respect just because we've both established we kill people. I don't like you. And I'm guessing you've got nowhere to go. So I'm paying you back." she said, approaching him with a cup of tea, "Take it" she muttered. She didn't look him in the eyes.. and probably couldn't have even if she wanted to.
he put the barrel down, took the cup and looked into, seeing his reflection. he quickly swigged it down
Mina turned, walking over to her wardrobe and sifting through her clothing, "Why did you leave Volken?" she questioned with interest.
"they didnt like me taking pictures, said i was sloppy, and i didnt leave." Kuro explained, looking at the empty cup
Mina furrowed her eyebrows. She wondered if Charles had any say in that. He was a fucking sociopath. Crazy. Absolutely insane. But also charming. She had a crush on him for a little while there. "They kicked you out?" she replied, "There's more tea on the stove by the way" She added quietly.
Mina turned away and walked past him. "Why were you worried about me seeing your face?" she asked, sipping her own tea.
"because when my name and "wiping" come to mind, i think your gonna make me forget. and i cant forget the only thing i know for sure."
Mina sipped her tea calmly, her lips suddenly spreading into a smile, "You didn't notice did you?" she said quietly, "Probably what they meant by sloppy" she added.
"Well, im supposed to know SOMETHING about who im supposed to kill, all youve told is your blind and that your chaos." he replied
Mina cleared her throat, "It's all in the art of observation. For instance, based on what you've shown me I can tell that you're exceptionally irresponsible, not too practical with your methods of assassination, you're a particularly talented gunsman, and I wouldn't doubt that Charles himself taught you a bit about high power rifles. I know that you've got low self esteem issues, because it's clear your agile enough to get away from some petty peace keepers, yet you still persistently hide your face, either that or I calculated that wrong and you actually are incompetent enough to get caught by the police. You get hurt a lot, or perhaps you simply have a high pain tolerance. You have a penchant for controlling birds and you teleport, but only in small distances. You have trouble seeing ahead and your plans often implode on yourself, but when they don't implode, you execute them perfectly. You're more of a long raged combatant, and you don't seem to be trained in any special forms of combat besides maybe boxing. I wouldn't be surprised if you were also talented with a range of different weapons as well, likely including melee weapons, and or pistols. Probably revolvers, seeing as you also seem to like to end battles quickly." she explained.
"well... good job-" he tried clapping, but to little avail due to his strange arm "- except... who's charles?" he asked
She sighed, "Wow. You really are sloppy. Second in command at Volken. Recruiter." he explained, "Though perhaps you didn't know him by Charles honestly.. he goes by a few names. He wears a gas mask, carries a really big gun around... he's a snarky asshole who tampered with his lens caps to make them look like eyebrows because he's insecure." she explained.
Mina glanced at him, standing against the wall and nodding, "He's probably compensating for something" she muttered.
"oh, that and the low self esteem problems, i dont make friends so theres less loose ends to cut." he said
