10. In your opinion, what is the most poignant scene in the novel? Explain why.

Jill A. | 914 comments "Poignant" means touching, not necessarily sad. Being called back to Canada was bad, but it was also the occasion that finally prompted Peter to open up and tell Rebecca about himself, his past and how it was still affecting him--essential to their friendship.

Gina Marinello-Sweeney Both of the scenes that you mentioned are ones that were also emotional for me to write as the author. I am glad that it came across that way to readers.
