Great news! Pamela has completed the first book in her new series!

The series focuses on mountain rescue teams and it's contemporary romance. Some of our I Team friends may swing by for a cameo too.

I. Am. Thrilled! I feel like this is going to be a turning point for her. She can write the stories the way she wants to tell them without the publishing money whores telling her what they think she should write and how she should write it. Ya, I know that's what editors and agents and publishers are supposed to do, but they treated her horribly during one of the most devastating times of her life and I will never forgive them. I've stopped buying their books and only get them when they become available at libraries, except for Pamela's. So being able to get her books without supporting her current publisher, I'm thrilled!

Yeah, publishers do tend to abuse the privilege of working with authors. I think it's great that so many authors are putting out books independently. It gives them control over when they'll come out and also gives them the best percentage of the sales.

With all the promo they have to do for themselves, it's really a no brainer for authors who already have a following.

Just finished this...and loved it! I've been kind of "off" contemporary romance lately - they all seem to be either sickly sweet or with characters who are barely out of their teens. Trust Pamela to bring new life to the genre. I love that I always learn something from her books too - almost makes me want to try rock-climbing...almost...

I don't read much romance, my genre is romantic-suspense and I love the I-Team books, all 5-star reads for me. I received Barely Breathing from NetGalley and I love it.

I realize that both Lexi and Austin are both strong individuals, but why did they let 12 whole years go by without talking to each other?

Anita, I got the sense that Lexi wanted nothing more than to escape her life in Colorado...and Austin was a part of that life. The way they parted didn't help either.

It was going to be tough to stay together anyway with both of them heading to different colleges. But, they were in love. You work is out, except when you're 18 and so immature. You are right that Lexi didn't every want to return. So sad that her mother's death changed her father so profoundly.
