message 1: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) Dove had snuck up to the hill. The hill was one of the few places she could be alone and be herself.

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

Archer was sitting with his back against the trunk of a tree, close to the top of the hill, his eyes closed. He leaned his head back onto the textured bark and took a deep breath, inhaling the fresh air. He slipped unnoticed onto the hill almost everyday, hoping no one discovered him, as he could get into dire trouble. Nonetheless, he snuck up nearly each day, as it was the only place that he could truly enjoy without getting constantly bothered by people. He often needed the peace and quiet that he could only truly find at this location.

Astra (sayomina) Dove sat down, running her hand across the grass. She hummed a little before, singing softly. She knew she wasn't supposed to, but the society wasn't going to do anything about it. Not with her

Archer's eyes snapped open when he heard the wind carrying a soft voice across to where he was seated. He immediately sprang up from his spot, hoping no one would spot him. Looking down at his outfit, he regretted wearing a white t-shirt, as it was very noticeable. At least his pants were beige coloured and blended in nicely with the nature. He took a few cautious steps to where he had heard the sound come from. The dirt and twigs crackled under his combat boots. He peeked behind a tree and let out a sigh of relief he didn't know he was holding when he spotted the figure of a girl who did not look like she was an officer. At least, he hoped not. He approached her tentatively, in order not to startle her.

Astra (sayomina) Dove didn't notice him since she had her eyes closed as she sung. "And you once said, “I wish you dead, you sinner.” I’ll never be more than a wolf at your door for dinner. And if I see you ‘round like a ghost in my town, you liar, I’ll leave with your head. Oh, I’ll leave you for dead, sire. And you once said, “I wish you dead, you sinner. I’ll never be more than a wolf at your door for dinner. And if I see you ‘round like a ghost in my town, you liar, I’ll leave with your head. Oh, I’ll leave you for dead, sire. You were sharp as a knife to get me. You were a wolf in the night to fetch me back. The wishes I’ve made are too vicious to tell. Everyone knows I am going to hell… And if it’s true, I’ll go there with you."

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

Archer laid a hand against the tree trunk that the girl was sitting against. He listened to her voice, and not the pessimistic lyrics of the poem, choosing to opt out the negative aspect. When she finished, he lowered himself to the ground next to her, careful as to not startling her once again. "You have a beautiful voice." He commented, meaning the compliment. He examined the girl, certain that, by the look on her face, she was not an officer. He wondered genuinely what she was doing up here on the Hill. Was he not the only one who dared venture here for some tranquility? Maybe her intentions were shared with his, or perhaps they were completely different. He hoped he wouldn't scare her off so that he could ask those questions.

message 7: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) Dove opened her eyes and looked at the person. She hadn't realized that there was someone else up here as well. She blushed lightly, a bit shy. "Thank you," She whispered.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

An amused smile played on Archer's lips at the girls blush. He was surprised that he hadn't scared her. If he had heard someone talk when he had his eyes closed, he would have decapitated them, bolting up from his spot. "What are you doing up here?" He asked, expressing the question that had been swimming around in his mind.

message 9: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) "I come here to be alone," Dove said quietly, brushing a piece of her white hair behind her ear. She was good at being calm. That's why she hadn't attacked.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Archer raised an eyebrow. "I guess we share the same intention, then." He said. What she had told him was fairly similar to the reason he had come up here. He also rather enjoyed the nature that surrounded him, along with the sound of the wind filtered by the trees, and the rustling of the leaves. It was a different kind of noise; a calming one.

message 11: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) Dove looked down. It was very peaceful up here, very calming, though she was very nervous around people because of her differences. White hair, purple eyes, things that shouldn't exist yet somehow she had them. The only thing keeping her alive was her intelligence

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Archer, his eyes still on the girl, tilted his head to the side. "Are you going to get Matched?" He asked. On second thought you added, "Or have you already been Matched?" He was already matched, and this girl seemed to be around the same age as him. Maybe a bit younger. It seemed to be a reasonable question to ask, as most people had their ceremony around this age.

message 13: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) "Oh, I may be matched soon. If so, I'll be part of the match banquet tonight," Dove said softly

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Archer's eyebrows shot up. "Tonight?" He asked, incredulous. There was a banquet tonight? That seemed rather soon. "Well, shouldn't you be getting ready, then?" He asked, wondering what she thought she was doing. This was no joke, the society would definitely not be happy had she not show up at the banquet.

message 15: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) Dove sighed. "I thought I would have some time alone before the banquet. It's not like it's that hard to get ready and the society can't complain if I show up a little late,"

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Archer observed her disappointed features. "If you'd like me to leave, I understand." He said. After all, she wanted some time alone, and him being there didn't help the cause. He searched her face for a response, as she seemed quite shy, so he didn't know whether her response would be truthful, or if she would just tell him to stay because she was too shy to ask him to leave.

message 17: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) "It's fine," Dove said standing up. "I was thinking of going anyways," She tucked a piece of white hair behind her ear. She looked at him, her vibrant purple eyes, apologetic

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

Archer stood up as well, brushing the leaves off his pants. "Alright." He said, a slightly disappointed expression on his face. He was looking forward to conversing with this girl. Perhaps make a new friend. "Be careful." He said, and as an after thought added, "Would you like me to come with you?" One should never underestimate how dangerous the hill could be, after all, the place got checked by officers everyday.

message 19: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) Dove was quiet for a moment. "Okay," She said quietly. She wondered why this person was asking more questions, not that that wasn't a good thing.

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

Archer shrugged. "Alright, let's go." He didn't like how uneasy she looked, was this his fault? Perhaps he shouldn't have suggested going with her. Or maybe he ought to have never sought out where the voice was coming from. He looked down at the ground, following in her footsteps.

message 21: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) Dove knew the best way down the hill. Her own little secret path. It was never patrolled by officers. She was quiet, listening to all the beautiful sounds of true nature.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

Archer walked down along with her, occasionally kicking up a cloud of dirt or rocks. He could see the bottom now, so he knew they were close.

message 23: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) Dove wanted to say something, to break the awkward (at least for her) silence, but she was too nervous to say anything

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

Archer almost tumbled down the hill for the last few steps, but caught himself in time not to fall. He gave dove a sheepish smile when they reached the bottom of the hill. He was glad they had reached the bottom unnoticed. "Nice to meet you..." His words trailed of when he realized he hadn't gotten a name. "What's your name?" HE asked.

message 25: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) "Dove, Dove Violet Angel," Dive said softly. She wasn't used to greeting people

message 26: by [deleted user] (last edited May 05, 2016 04:14AM) (new)

Archer nodded. "I'm Archer." He said, offering her a small smile. He turned his head, noticing another boy approaching them. He smiled at the boy, knowing they weren't in trouble, as they were only at the base of the hill.

((Kaitlyn, Dove's banquet is later, she hasn't had her match yet.))

message 27: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) ((Actually, just because I matched them doesn't mean they've had their banquets. want to keep it interesting))

message 28: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) ((thanks. should've probably at least attempted to explain the whole system to people. pretend that list is what the society sees before announcing everything. that's the best way I can explain it. some people are choosing to have the match already announced between their two characters, some aren't. yeah, its like that.))

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

Princess Kaitlyn ~Juliet~ [Soli Deo Gloria] wrote: "((And James could easily get them in trouble just for wandering during recreation hours. His parents are Officials that are extremely high up.))"

((Yes, but Archer doesn't know that))

message 30: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) Dove smiled a little, then shyed away. she knew that kid was high up in the society already. at least one benefit of being different she knew who's who in the society.

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

Archer raised his eyebrows at the arrogant expression on the boy's face. "Is something the matter?" He asked, tilting his head slightly to the side in question.

message 32: by [deleted user] (last edited May 05, 2016 04:57AM) (new)

Archer hung his head. Why was this boy acting like an officer? Was he someone who actually believed in the equality of the rules of the society? He decided that he really did not want to converse with such an individual. "We were just leaving." He said, throwing a small glance at Dove. It as her choice whether she wanted to stay are leave.

message 33: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) "it's fine," Dove said softly. "we were just leaving. if you do tell anyone, just tell them it was Dove," It would be enough to clear things up.

message 34: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) Dove offered a kind smiled. "Thank you," She said softly, brushing a piece of her white hair behind her ear.

message 35: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) "Dove Violet Angel," Dove said. Also known as project dove. She wasn't supposed to make purposeful contact with anyone unless it was her Match which she had yet to receive. Speaking of which that was tonight.

message 36: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) Dove looked down. That wasn't necessarily a good thing. At least be polite. "Nice to meet you as well,"

message 37: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) Dove nodded, not really knowing what to say. She couldn't relate to him since she was the only person with her name. Dove for her hair, Violet for her eyes, Angel for her purpose.

message 38: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) "R-right. I need to go too..." Dove said quickly

message 39: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) Dove nodded and quickly hurried off. She needed to get ready for tonight.

message 40: by Astra (new)

Astra (sayomina) ((Move to the city hall and time skip to later?))
