Reading Marked in Flesh by Anne Bishop! I've been looking forward to this read for a while now and so far am finding it immensely enjoyable!
What I Was Doing While You Were Breeding is a GREAT travel book that is making my vacation wish-list even longer. Alt Library will be doing the annual Walk Around Midtown on Weds, 5/18, if anyone is interested ;)
Also, I'm still listening to The Rose Society on eAudio.

Now I am undertaking The Passage.

I had the pleasure of reading Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng for a book group this week and have to say that when they use the word "heart wrenching" to describe it, they aren't kidding. Still, it was an excellent and thought provoking reading experience which led to a great discussion. It is a difficult and sad read, but one that I would highly recommend.
Currently holding my bookmark is a decidedly cheerier book, Because of Miss Bridgerton by Julia Quinn, one of my very favorite authors of historical romance.

So this past week I read a book about Rain and it was really good! No really, it sounds eminently dull I know, but it's actually utterly fascinating and to be highly recommended for fans of non-fiction, science and history.
Things I learned while reading Rain: a natural and cultural history by Cynthia Barnett included the history of weather forecasting (it was banned in Victorian England for 12 years!), how the Westward migration into the desert like plains was fueled by the belief that the presence of civilization would bring rain and how Monticello is actually very poorly situated despite the view along with many, many other things. Given our lengthy drought the book is especially relevant for CA residents.
My current read is something completely different, The Regional Office is Under Attack by Manuel Gonzales.

I'm making my way through Me Before You before the movie comes out next week. It's SO GOOD!
Also, listening to The False Prince which has been on my to-read list for a while. I am really enjoying the reader; he's great!
