Sam is an awesome person and I'm so glad she invited me to read ALL of Hobb's books. I've been reading fantasy since grade school. After graduating in English, I went from reading academic literature back to my childhood roots in fantasy and sci-fi. When I'm not reading, I'm going to my martial arts classes, geek thrifting, and collecting comic books.

I'm looking forward to embark the Elderlings expedition with you guys!

I'm excited for this! I've been wanting to start reading these books for a while now.

Hey guys! My name is Asma, I'm reallllly into fantasy. I've read Hobb's Farseer trilogy a while ago and I can't say I didn't like it. I have had some.. Issues with it, but I don't want to discourage those who haven't read it yet so I won't mention them here. I've been dying to discuss it with someone because NONE of my friends read it :(

Problem is I've tried so hard to join read-alongs and I've failed miserably everytime xD I'm hoping you guys can break the spell and get me to buddy read!!!!

I just saw the announcement video though, and decided this is a great way to get into Robin Hobb. Some of those books are chunksters, and a little intimidating, so a read-a-long will probably help me a lot by staying motivated.
Will be interesting to see if I can keep up with the pace, when we get around to the real big ones though.
