Meeting Minutes:
Location: TGI Friday’s, Towson 6:30 pm
Attendance [4 members]: Ellon (me), Danielle, Tiffany, Sarah
This was a more informal meeting. I didn’t take notes until the end because I had food and drink in front of me (a great decision btw). But here is what I was about to get down/remember.
Discussion:
Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library
Harry Potter - rereading the series, some members had not read any Harry Potter books (scandal!!! :-P)
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children turning into a movie?
An Ember in the Ashes - we didn’t really like this BOM
Everything, Everything - very good, highly recommended
Level Up
Dumplin'’ - coming up as a FYA pick (in June); several of us had already read it and really enjoyed it
Modern Monsters
All the Bright Places - also really good but be prepared to cry
Thirteen Reasons Why - just as good on re-reads; if you can, listen to the audiobook. The book is about a girl who killed herself but left behind the tapes explaining why so it’s just interesting to listen to the book.
