Excited to push out of my reading slump! Can't wait to start it!

Me too, going to read the prologue and chapter one tonight :)

Just finished chapter six!!! Love love love this book so far! The characters are intriguing and yet realistically flawed. The friendship between the boys is wonderfully complex. And I love Blue and her family's interactions. Cannot wait to continue on!

Just finished chapter 6! Haha that meeting between the boys and Blue was cringe worthy but super funny!

So I read that next 6 chapters (7-11), they were really good and I flew through them! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the boys' relationships with one another, they are pretty funny. I will stop reading until I hear back from you (:

Agh so apparently I had notifications off for his topic somehow!!! I've been wondering if you'd done any reading!!! Lol! I will definitely get the next six chapters down by tomorrow evening! ;) And turn on the topic notifications!

Just finished chapter seven! Working my way up to 11 tonight, I hope. Didn't get to read earlier in the day like I'd hoped, but I should catch up before bed!

One thing I'm kind of loving is the friendship between the boys. They've each got such vivid personalities, in their own way. Adam's paranoia cracks me up and makes me look over my shoulder at the same time. Ronan's recklessness, Gansey's determination and protectiveness (and his inability to think before he speaks.) I don't really have much of a feeling for Noah yet, other than he seems very quiet.

What are your thoughts so far?

Finished chapter 11! Loved it! I flew through them with surprising ease! I was thinking read to chapter 18 next? ( I like even numbers. Lol!) I'll hold off until I hear back from you!

That sounds good! I will try to read to chapter 18 tomorrow (: I'm really liking this book, I love the characterization!

Well I went ahead and read to chapter 18 this morning! Whelk is creepy. Seriously creepy. And Maura's reaction to Gansey, Calla's reaction to Ronan. Wow. Can't wait to read more!

Anyways, you were right Welsh is SUPER creepy I cant wait to see where his storyline goes! And I am really interested to learn more about Gansey, his character seems very mysterious I feel like he is kidding something..

And no problem at all! I've been busy too! I actually went to my local thrift store tonight with my grandmother. Got 19 books! Lolol. We can read at whatever pace, it doesn't matter to me at all, I just enjoy reading with someone!

And I did get some good ones! The ones you were liking that I marked at want to read, those were some of them. I scan all new books before I put them on my self! Otherwise I'll forget!

Finished ch 24! I really enjoyed the chapters! The time stopping in the woods was very intriguing and the tree showing them things.... I really want to know what Adam saw. He saw something bad, obviously, but I sounded like he'd done something bad to Gansey!

I'm definitely seeing how Gansey and Blue could end up together, though I still like Adam. Hmmm. What were your thoughts?

I wonder how that will happen and how Gansey & Blue will bond. she seems closer to the other boys and Gansey seems like he's hiding something or holding back..

There is definitely something about him. He's hiding something, for sure. But like I said, I want to know what Adam meant when he said, I'd never do that to him. Or something like that. Obviously it was something about Gansey, judging from hoe he acted when Gansey stepped into the tree. Like he was waiting for Gansey to see the same thing.

I'm continuing as well! Just finished chapter 33! I knew whelk was bad news!!!! I cannot believe Noah is dead! I know he said it earlier in the book but I didn't think he was really dead!

I just read that part as well!! That was an intense scene.. And kinda creepy!

Finished! Overall a very good read! Let me know when you finish. That last line, something Ronan said confused me. I have a feeling I missed something somewhere. Let me know if you got it!

I haven't finished it yet.. I am on chapter 32 I believe. I'm sorry I'm so behind this weekend ended up being a lot busier than planned :(

Hey no problem! I've been reading some other things I had on hand and listening to Harry Potter GoF on audiobook. Once you finish this did you want to continue on with the series or take a break?

I would love to, I might want to finish a few books that I am reading right now but I will plan on that.

Weird! Anyway, what did you think of the book on the whole?

It was good! Honestly though, I had a hard time getting into it. It might have just been my reading slump hopefully. I do like the idea of Blue and the Raven boys, I can't wait to see what happens in the upcoming books

My attention was kind of on and off. Some parts didn't grab me, but overall it was good. I'm guessing that the next books will have less info type parts and be easier to get into!

That's what I'm thinking! Either way I love Maggie's writing style
