This is possibly my favourite link, and I've been watching all spring as first the Barred Owls, and then the Hawks hatched. The Barn Owl has 5 eggs that are due to hatch in the next week or so. It's fascinating to watch these birds and what unfolds as the new little ones make their appearance. I'm fascinated by the meals. FYI, the Hawklets seemed to have chipmunk as their first meal.

I just tuned in to this--Awesome Sauce! She was feeding them at this time as well. There's one little one in the back who seemed to be continuously nudged out by bigger siblings. I hope he or she gets her share!
