Is it me or am I the only one who felt like the ending wasn't as satisfying to this series? I'm just glad the Author brought Gansey back to life or I would have thrown a fit. Also I wanted more romance between Blue and Gansey. We only seen them kiss once and that lead Gansey to die. What about now that he is alive? No more kissing I presume. Also huge fan of Ronan x Adam the love they share was smokin' hot. I just wish I could see Ronan and Adam getting married or seeing Ronan proposing to Adam. Good for Adam at the end facing off his parents after everything they put him through. I tell them go suck it, because Adam is successful, and living it up with his boyfriend Ronan. I feel like everything happened so fast and easy too. I mean for reals Gansey died and no more demon poof like nothing ever happened. I want more this it just didn't feel as satisfying as I expected for a conclusion to this series... >.<"

I totally agree with you. The first question came to mind after finishing the book was, can Blue and Gansey kiss? I was squealing over Ronan and Adam, oh my god I fell in love with both of them.

For reals the Author dragged out Gansey and Blue kiss for like ever and now all of sudden Gansey lives and we don't even know if they can still kiss each other or not. Also Ronan x Adam is so squeal worthy I wanted to see more romance between the two of them... xDD
Cozythai wrote: "I totally agree with you. The first question came to mind after finishing the book was, can Blue and Gansey kiss? So it sure seemed like Blue's actual kiss was never going to kill him, but rather that when they kissed it would be at the time of his death (which made it a self-fulfilling prophecy, since theoretically they could have kissed before then, they just didn't believe it). (Since remember the wording isn't, "Kissing your true love will kill him" but instead "when you kiss your true love he will die"). Anyway. Those are my thoughts.

I entirely agree that I felt that the ending was too fast and easy. There was all of this build up and then all of the sudden it was over. Though I loved the series immensely and all of the characters in it, I felt unsatisfied when I finished. I also felt as though Blue and Gansey were in a way swept aside to make room for Ronan and Adam's story.
I can see how the ending of the story was ... not as fulfilling as I hoped it would be, but I do like how it ended. As frustrating as it gets when authors kind of leave the ending open, I wish more authors would so it gives a chance to speculate. In my mind, (view spoiler)

i was very dissapionted with the end. i think the author focused to much on Ronan and Adam that she somehow neglected all the rest, especially Gansey and Blue. I needed more heartbreaking Scene when Gansy died. it seems like Henry was sadder of them all. I NEEDED more much more
So glad to have come across this thread. Same thoughts on the end. It was great but I need more.I think Blue and Gansey can kiss now cause before, his life was because of the ley line and now Cabeswater's magic has given him life? Am I making sense? It made sense in my head lol. Anyway, what about Gansey's "power" of command? Is he Glendower? He's referred to as a King so many times. I also feel like when they woke Gansey up when he died means he's really the first sleeper (3rd sleeper, dont wake - demon | 2nd, meh - Gwenllian) ????? Aaaah so confused.
Gansey and Blue should've each had a chapter or maybe a longer epilogue with their POV. I want to know how Gansey feels with Cabeswater magic in him or his thoughts after finding his king.
Also, Gray Man? Maura? Artemus? No word from them? Sigh...
Angelika wrote: "So glad to have come across this thread. Same thoughts on the end. It was great but I need more.I think Blue and Gansey can kiss now cause before, his life was because of the ley line and now Cab..."
I didn't even think about Maura, Artemus, and Gray Man! There are so many unanswered questions about Artemus and Maura. I'm also sad that the book didn't explore Blue's revelations about who is she is and where she comes from more deeply.

How funny would it be to read Artemus and Maura's first date and it was a disaster and Artemus just freaks the crap out then runs and hides in a tree and Maura has to calm him down and talk him out of hiding lol Maggie pls

But the epilogue... what a fucking dissappointment, so many characters, so many things and details without explaining.
Mi review is full of theories and questions haha.
Angelika wrote: "So glad to have come across this thread. Same thoughts on the end. It was great but I need more.I think Blue and Gansey can kiss now cause before, his life was because of the ley line and now Cab..."
Agreed. A piece of my review:
ADAM AND RONAN?????? WHAT? I KNEW IT... They are cute and everything, but... sorry it does not fit. Maybe for Ronan, we never saw him talking about girls or anything, but Adam?, he was into Blue like two weeks before he kissed Ronan. I really wish that would have made sense... but it does not. For me it seems forced by the author.
Also... Where the hell was Gwenllian??, She was verry funny, and she wanted to kill that deamon, and she wasn't no where????, The author honestly left to many characters hanging... Also, she seems to me inmortal... or she lives many many years like Blue's father. I mean she still looks like a young woman, and Artimus was not old either. Do they grow slow or something??, Because she was on that cave alive for 600 hundred years or so, and his father who was a human too, but he died. We learn that her mother was a tree, like Artemus. So Blue is like she is, a daughter of a tree and a human, Is she gonna live that long too?
Glendawer... was a boomer but it feels right. Because it was to good to be truth.
Okay, I did not like getting nothing about how the deamon dies... or what happend to him...
Gansey dying... I expected more, i dont know... details? The author left so many things unexplained, what about Adam's humanity?, What about Gansey not being really human, but something else?
I didnt mind Adam on the epilogue, I think that she could fill that space with more info about the story, like what happend to the deamon, and Adam and Gansey being not normal humans.
For me was not very romantic Gansey and Blue traveling with Henry too. I would liked them to be by their own for once. But they never where so... screw me.
About the future adventure on Ronan's part of the epilogue... amm.. I need more. Why does she keep us hanging?
The entire book was great!, my problem was at the end when I noticed that so many thing where left unexplained.
OMG I FORGOT, WHAT ABOUT NOAH? Did he disappeared like FOREVERRR?,
DOES SOMEONE CARE???? CUZ I DO!!

Of course it is, and I have absolutly no problem with it. I meant that there was no hit of it, on Adam's personality, I dont know if I explain myself correctly. What I mean is that I would it like maybe some hints from the author. Maybe Adam to explain his feelings. was he always bisexual, was Ronan his first boyfriend?, Get it?
I was a little disappointed about Noah's ending. Like I feel like no one even noticed he was gone or said anything about it. It was just like Henry replaced Noah.

The whole was reading, I was thinking that about Adam and Ronan. I get how Ronan could like Adam but Adam liking Ronan? Wasn't he kind of sort of still attracted to Blue? And he seemed to not like Ronan in the first book.
Also, what about Blue? The whole book she's complaining about how the rest of her life is going to turn out the way she wants because she doesn't have the money to go to college or to travel to Venezuela. And in the end, everything is alright but what does she decide to do? God knows because the author doesn't tell us.
Oh, and Glendower is dead???!!! I was anticipating something totally fascinating and awe-inspiring. Why is this not explained?
Also, what about Gansey? Why do they call him"Raven King"? Why is he able to make certain commands? Did he make up with his parents and Helen for missing the school function thing?
Lastly (I promise), is Persephone really dead? I know it's been made really clear that she's dead but I had hope that somehow she wouldn't be. I really loved the bond between her, Calla, and Maura. Also, she was a really interesting and loveable character. The reading they did in the beginning gave me a lot of hope.
""Does this mean she’s still alive?” Maura asked, tapping the Queen of Hearts.
"Probably," Calla grunted."
OMFG...I'm so happy to know that I'm not the only one that had a thousand and one questions after the end...while I loved the novels...so many questions left!!!!
Totally agree, so many things left unanswered. My first question was: can Blue and Gansey kiss now FOR REAL?? Like does the cURSE ONLY MATTER THE FIRST TIME?
And Noah! Oh my gosh, is the smol child coming back??? He can't just be GONE!
I also wanna know what happens with Mr. Gray, I sure hope he's gonna be part of the Ronan-trilogy, his character is really mysterious.
The women from Fox Way are awesome and I wanna know what happens to them after all this cray cray-ness.
I need more of this series, seriously.
I kinda thought the whole Adam and Ronan relationship was kind of forced. I want to see more on their romance.

Woof. Adam and Ronan fit impeccably. Bisexuality is thing you know... you can be attracted to more than one gender. If you go back and read the series with the knowledge that they end up together, you'll pick up a ton of hints along the way. They're everywhere throughout the four books. Nothing forced about their relationship at all.

The Queen of Swords is a card that indicates a quick thinker, someone who is organized, perceptive, and independent. It was definitely a reference to Piper or Neeve, not Persephone :)
Angelika wrote: "So glad to have come across this thread. Same thoughts on the end. It was great but I need more.I think Blue and Gansey can kiss now cause before, his life was because of the ley line and now Cab..."
I love your theory! It totally makes all the sense in the owrld, it actually leaves me pretty satisfied cause I've been spinning around the first sleeper
My biggest problem with the ending was that how Stiefvater ended the Noah thing like he quietly slipping away from time without his friends' knowledge. They didn't even mention him again. The other thing was that i didn't understand why most of the readers genuinely thought that Gansey was resurrected? The one resurrected by his friends was just a soul being created from their memories with the sacrifice of Cabeswater and they put it back into the shell of Gansey. This situation kinda reminded me of cloning. His friends "cloned" another soul of Gansey and inserted it back to the original shell. But where did the actual soul of Gansey go?? so I think Gansey is actually dead..... Gansey was meant to die that year just like what the prophecy showed.
Sorry i am not trying to argue with anyone's theory here but i wanna share how i interpreted the ending with the other readers. Feel free to correct me if I miss out anything. Thanks! XOXO

OMG exactly my thoughts. Feels like I wrote that message except my English ain't that good :D
And also... what about Blue's heritage? can she be a tree as well? what's with that? what's in her future? They spoke about it a lot in the books and then... Nada. Just... hey look a new car.
StarsEternal wrote: "I just think that the end was.....a tad bit disappointing for such a forktastic series."I agree! There was so much build up to find the king but in the end he was dead and it was quite rushed.also what happened to Blue's father? My favourite book was blue lily, lily blue because it was so exciting to read, an dit kept me on the edge of my seat,
