Yes, definitely Lolita. Don't bother about the morality of the character. Just read; you'd be get lost in the words. At last you say, 'Oh, such words do exist in English!' In my opinion, it's the book everyone, all those who read English literature, should read at least once.
How do you guys feel about how J.D.Salinger spent his life after writing the Catcher in the Rye? He basically locked himself away. (?? I may or may not be getting my facts right) He had such talent in writing...
What?? I didn't know that. May be he locked himself away to write another masterpiece??Wiki says :
Salinger died of natural causes on January 27, 2010, at his home in Cornish, New Hampshire. In November 2013, three unpublished stories by Salinger were briefly posted online. One of the stories, "The Ocean Full of Bowling Balls", is said to be a prequel to The Catcher in the Rye.
I don't know about it either.
He didn't write something major after the Catcher. So, you might be right about it. I'll check it.
